Some healed results. This client finished his treatment 3 months ago, the after pictures were taken from his home yesterday. Looking good if I may say so myself 😊 The price for this level of treatment would be £900 in total and take between 4-6 sessions.

A customer put this write up about me on a hair loss group today, I’m really touched and so glad I could make a difference.

A couple of people I know have recently said to me that my page would look better if I took some after pictures on a really good camera, which would make my work look more professional. Whilst it’s certainly food for thought and definitely achievable for me, I wanted to explain why up untill now I haven’t. All my before and after pictures are currently taken on my iPhone, I use no filters ( I don’t know how to use them) and I’m no photographer, but the point is they are real, no photoshop, no enhancement, real people, real results, which Is what I’d want to see, if I was deciding whether to go ahead with a treatment. I’m not ruling out the glossy stuff for the future though.

This customer came to me a few weeks back. He was very nervous as everyone always is, so we pigmented a very conservative hairline, on the basis that we could always add to it. After the Ist session he decided to be braver the next time, so we brought the hairline forward today (2nd session) but still gave him a receded natural look. We were both pleased at the end of this session. The before photos are the hairline I drew before the first session, the after photos are of the second session. He will need at least another 3 sessions to fully dense it up but it’s looking good.

The consultation process.

The consultation fee appears to be a bit of a sticking point for many, so I thought it might be helpful if I explained why I charge one and what the consultation entails. The consultation fee is £20.00

On average a client consultation takes between an hour and a hour and a half. Prior to the consultation I sterilise and set up the room and equipment and after the appointment I clean and sterilise the room and equipment. So you can conservatively say each consultation takes about 2 and a half hours of my time. At the consultation we discuss the process, your expectations and what can be realistically achieved. We discuss before treatment care, between treatment care and after care. We discuss your medical history and determine whether you are a suitable candidate. We then work together to try and determine the best hairline for you. This can involve some drawing on your head. After this I perform a patch test on your scalp which is the same procedure as the actual treatment itself but in a very small inconspicuous area. This allows you to feel what the treatment will be like and see a very small area of results to determine whether you like it. For me, it ensures that you have no reactions to the pigment before we perform a full treatment. I use fresh sterile needles and expensive pigment as well as a whole heap of PPE for each consultation. From there I ask you to go away and have a think. I take no bookings on the day.

You need to think about whether I’m the right practitioner for you and whether it’s a treatment you really want. I do not pester you afterwards because It’s a big commitment so it really does need some thought and I want everyone that comes through my door to be sure about the treatment. Now I appreciate that it’s unnerving when someone asks you for an upfront fee but from my perspective I can’t run my business any other way, I’m not a big organisation I can’t absorb failed consultation costs. The big boys build it in to their costs anyway, as they charge up to double my treatment prices. If I book you in that’s 3 clinic hours accounted for whether you show up or not. This is the reason I charge a small fee. I have reduced it to £20. As I feel this may feel less daunting if you’re a bit unsure and this fee will be knocked off the total price of your treatment, but first and foremost it weeds out the time wasters who book a consultation and don’t even bother to turn up. (Unfortunately there are many of these kinds of people).

I am happy to chat about SMP with potential customers either by messenger or telephone, as many times as you would like so that you can understand more about the procedure and assess whether you would be a suitable candidate. This is free of charge.
If after this process, you decide this is a treatment you would like to go ahead with and would like to book a face to face consultation with me there is a £50 upfront charge. This charge will be knocked off your treatment price if you choose to go ahead with the treatment. At our consultation we will go through the options for hairlines and I will do a Patch test on your scalp ( somewhere inconspicuous). We do this test to make sure you are not allergic to the Pigment. It is highly unlikely, but it’s always better to be safe. It also gives you an idea of what the process feels like.
