🧱 One off opportunity for a couple of days work with CAMEL Construction & Property Maintenance 🧱

We are looking for a hard working person, who would like to earn some money while gaining work experience in the construction industry.

Work will be a few days at the moment, but could lead to future work for the right person.

This opportunity would suit a school leaver interested in building, construction or property maintenance work
• Paid work 💷 (amount to be discussed with right candidate)
• Ideally able to get themselves to jobs however I can pick up if local to Crigglestone
• Must have a good work ethic, be able to knuckle down and work hard
• Work is commencing this week so someone who is available to work ASAP

Something a little different for me the week before Christmas!
A busy board created for a customers’ son as a Christmas present 🎄
All items on this particular busy board were provided by the customer, and they also had his name to attach themselves.

Busy boards can be tailored to your budget and made in any colour/theme, with a range of different items on to keep your child entertained for hours.
Great for developing those fine motor skills, hand to eye co-ordination and problem solving skills 💪🏼

Something a little different 💥

Our customers wanted natural looking handrails throughout their garden due to it being on a number of levels.

Reclaimed timber was used to suit the look the customers wanted.

Same property as our previous post - this is our removal of a rear window ready for the French doors to be fitted for this customer 👍🏻

Concrete lintels fitted internally and externally.

The bricks removed from this opening, we reused to block up the doorway from our earlier post, meaning the bricks were a perfect match to the rest of the house, and also saved the customer money 💷

Our customer wanted this side doorway blocking up due to French doors being fitted to the rear of the property.

Recent job completed 👍🏻

Our customers roof was leaking due to the old, disconnected chimney flue. The roof also had numerous cracked tiles and the ridge was in need of some TLC.

Flue was removed from the roof, the old felt was removed from area and replaced with new breathable membrane and laths. This area was retiled and cracked tiles were also replaced where needed.
We then pointed the ridge up, finishing off this job nicely.
No more leaks 💦

When a little princess asks for a princess castle bed, that’s exactly what she gets 🏰

This was a fun little project! Completed by Camel Construction with help from my best mate Steve from Almond Joinery.

This was actually built for the oldest of my girls for her new bedroom 👧🏼 and was sized perfectly to fit the size of the wall and to fit a 3/4 mattress to not completely take away all the floor space in the room.

The full unit was built out of MDF, with steps up one side that housed drawers in each step and a slide at the other side. The underneath was left open to create a cosy play space 💪🏼

The wife then painted it, so please excuse the finish 😅

Here’s a stone wall build completed for a friend 🧱

The wall was required to separate the garden, creating a grassed area at the top and a patio seating area at the bottom.

We were lucky enough that he dug the foundations himself so we could get straight on with building the wall and steps 👌🏼

What a transformation 💥

A full bathroom renovation we did a while back!

Our customer wanted a full modern revamp for their bathroom, so we got to work starting with ripping out the entire room.
We removed a redundant chimney breast to add more space.
We reboarded the walls and then used plastic panelling to create a tiled effect yet modern look to the bathroom.
Complete white bathroom suite was then fitted to give a clean and fresh look 💪🏼

This was a very fun (and challenging) afternoon.. 🚪

Our customer required a miniature door for access to a storage area but wanted it to match the doors we had already fitted throughout the house.
Unfortunately, nobody stocks this size so we had to produce one from a standard sized door (the size difference can be seen on the photo).

Not every day we get a job like this, but we love a challenge 💪🏼

A utility room done for a customer a while back 👌🏼

All units and appliances were supplied by this customer. We just had to go in and work our magic, ready for the granite worktop fitters to come in to finish off this lovely area.

Nice little job completed a while back 🛠

This customer was completely changing the layout of their house, so required a new doorway to be made between rooms. They decided on glass double doors to give a more open feel and flow to the property 💪🏼

This was a load-bearing wall which required a concrete lintel to be fitted. The new doorway was then cut out, block work was removed then door frame and doors were fitted and hung. We then plastered around the door ready for the customer to decorate.

Recent bathroom relocation 🛁

This customer chose to relocate the bathroom to create a bigger space for a walk in shower.
Walls were cladded in storm grey marble effect shower panels, a fantastic alternative to tiling.

The bathroom was then finished with walk in shower, modern toilet and wash basin.

Waterproof composite click lock flooring also fitted by us 💪🏼

A job from last year 🧱

An extension shell that was built for this customer to extend their kitchen.

External construction built out of concrete blocks with brick pillar on the corner to compliment the existing house 🏠
Thermalite block walls on the inside and finished with a traditionally built roof with double roman tiles to tie in with existing roof 💪🏼

Here’s a recent strip and recover 🏠

The roof was in serious need of TLC due to years of neglect. The original tiles were no longer fit for purpose, allowing pigeons to set up camp in the roof.

We stripped the roof, installed new roofing membrane and laths and fitted Sandtoft Calderdale roof tiles in grey 🔥 Ridge tiles and coping stones were all pointed up to complete this roof transformation.

Because this house is a terraced property, a GRP tile divider was used due to the different tiles on each property.

We also cleaned out the customers gutters while we were up there 🪜
