Pretty cool man made beach.

Loch Morlich - When examined closely the sand of these beaches contains large amounts of broken glass. However, this glass does not come from careless tourists discarding bottles irresponsibly but was, in fact, left over from World War II when the area around Loch Morlich was used as a commando school. In particular, it was used as a training area for the Kompani Linge (the Norwegian Independent (army) Company, trained by the British Special Operations Executive) because of the close resemblance of the area, both in landscape and climate, to Norway. A memorial to the Kompani Linge can be found outside the Glenmore Forest Park visitor centre.

Pretty interestingπŸ’‘

Pembrokeshire Fresh Llanteg Vending- stocked by a network of local suppliers, growers and producers for all to use.

In recent weeks, both machines have been officially launched, the first at Llanteg (pictured) which can be found sitting alongside the existing Dai’s Dairy milk vending at Folly Cross, next to Greenacre Market Garden.

It offers a selection of produce, stocked by three local producers, including fresh meat, dairy products, juice, jams, chutneys and at weekend fresh bread and locally made cheesecakes.

Trago Mills - Just off the A470 on the Swansea Road in Merthyr.

Shop Till you drop with over 180,000 things to buy.

It's a great place to just hang out, have a spot of lunch or go on a bit of shopping spree.

Have a spot of lunch weather it being a good old Bakestones welsh cake, which I truly LOVE, a breakfast roll, a roast of the day or a cream tea at The Brickworks Cafe.

Let the kids run wild in the Playzone area - There's also a sensory and reading room too!

Trago have event days like the one posted, quite regular which you should keep an eye on.

Monday to Saturday 9am - 6pm
Sunday 10am - 4pm

Frongoch Mine Ruins,
Pontarfynach, Aberystwyth.

One of the richest mines, with a combined output of over 100,000 tons of lead and zinc ores. The near vertical veins occur in grey or greenish-grey shales, flags and mudstones of Silurian age.

1834 the mines closed to the Williams brothers of Scorriers House - Cornwall.

Their successors, John Taylor & Sons, had much more luck with prices and finding ore.

August 1903 the mine closed for good.
Here I am 119 years later roaming the grounds of what's left.

Yes I was too scared to enter the hole
Feel free to do so,
But let me know what's there πŸ˜‚
