Music is particularly beneficial for those living with dementia as has shown to have positive effects on individuals with dementia for several reasons. It can stimulate memories and emotions, even in advanced stages of the disease, due to the strong connections between music and the brain. Music therapy can also improve mood, reduce agitation, and enhance social interaction, providing a sense of comfort and familiarity. Additionally, music may help engage various regions of the brain, promoting cognitive function and potentially slowing the progression of cognitive decline.
