Our brand new SEN sessions provide an excellent opportunity for your child to explore everything that CNGA has to offer.

Where: City of Newcastle Gymnastics Acadmey, Benfield Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE6 4NU

When: Summer Holidays (various dates)

Time: 9am-10am

Designed for children with SEN and/or additional needs, the sessions feature a variety of gymnastic setups.

With limited capacity and exclusive use of the space, parents/carers must supervise their gymnasts. Siblings are welcome, but please ensure to reserve a spot for each child.

Our coaches will be present to assist with gymnastics skills and encourage participation in new activities.

- Attending meetings at the school or with the local authority.

Attention all Grandparents

Do you know a grandparent who is struggling with their grandchild's autism diagnosis, unsure how to help or wants to learn a little more about autism.

I'll be running a Grandparents Session in Dudley towards the end of August. This is a great opportunity to meet others in the same position and share as little or as much as you like. Peer support is always a winner.

I'll be talking about Reilly and our experiences, may even get his grandad to pop along and share his.

This class starting Thursday 6th June is now free to access for North Tyneside Portage Parents drop Nadia a message if you would like to attend this includes those who are currently receiving portage or who are on our waiting list

Babies with complex medical or physical needs are of course welcome at all of our classes, however, I also want to run this bespoke group which is specifically for babies and non-mobile infants up to age 3 who have additional medical, physical or sensory needs.

Having worked with children with additional complex needs for over 10 years I have found that families often feel like they missed out on the opportunity to attend baby and toddler groups due to a variety of reasons, including: fear, lack of confidence and lengthy hospital admissions. I would love to provide that baby group culture specifically for parents of babies and infants with complex needs which you can access when you're ready in a safe, welcoming and accepting environment. You will have the opportunity to meet other parents who have had similar experiences and have a moment of calm with your baby or child, learning massage techniques that you can use at home which have many wonderful benefits for you little one.

It will also hopefully give you the chance to find out about all the services and support you can access and where possible I will invite special guests along to chat with you about their services.

This is something I am incredibly passionate about and I can't wait to meet you and your babies/infants very soon! 🌙🤍

Note: infants must be non mobile for this class to protect vulnerable babies and infants who will be lying down on the mats. I hope to run a more active session in future for infants who are mobile so watch this space!
