Had a busy day took birthday card and money Dow to my grandson then meeting at town hall
Went to Residents R us Beechdale now I’m at summer fare and Bloxwich Academy

Tomorrow is election day I urge you all to vote Labour show the tories what we really think of them! 

This week I have had the honour to visit some of our HAF services if you not sure what they are they are similar to a holiday club designed for Children, who are on free school meals this came from Marcus Rashford in 2020 when he discovered that during school holidays, some children were not having a lunchtime meal and was missing out.
Visiting the different providers I’ve been to this week has opened my eyes to how bad it is for some. I have heard some young people eating their meal stating they need to fill up as I won’t be eating when they get home. I’ve also read feedback from other times from children and adults praising this service up for the help. It is giving the families by feeding their children. They also signed post them to the near byfood bank if needed
helpthem with recipes and healthy eating.
These children also have fun. Meet new people and socialise. Well I have not seen one unhappy face.
I’ve also visited tproviders who deliver to our children with disabilities and again, their faces are a picture talking to the parents of children with disabilities as made me realise there isn’t much out there for these children. Which is so upsetting.
The reason for this post, and I hope you’ve read to the end is because March next year 2025 this Funding by the DFE is about to stop this cannot happen. These children will be in the same boat as I was in 2020 during holidays. There was no meals on the table for them and the situation is worse. Not better than 2020, with Cost of living and food prices going up it will make it worse for families, so I urge you all please to support me and Help to get this funding back for future years, I will take this on and fight my hardest, but I may need people behind me to Back me up so please support me in this thank you

Just come back from over 60 club nice afternoon I took in cakes for my birthday and I had lots of lovely cards from them also

Excellent children services meeting & then had a fab call from my bestie

Group meeting tonight meeting the with all executive directors could be a good meeting 

Busy day today starting with a ward walk at 10 this morning then resident meeting and followed by council meeting tonight but meeting with fellow councillor for a bite to eat this afternoon looking forward to that

Today in 2011 was the day I first got elected as a Councillor and I haven’t regretted it.
I’ve enjoyed meeting the local community groups and the residents within my ward.
I wish to thank you all for all the support you have given me throughout the years and I will continue to work with you on many issues that you may have.
It’s a honour and a privilege to serve Beechdale, Birchills & Leamore and it’s thanks to you guys that I’m still here, I can’t thank you enough for the support you show in me be voting for on election. In 2011 when I first won it’s a happy yet sad time for me and my family as it was due to the death of my beautiful mother that I was able to go for the seat she loved as did my dad the ward I just hope that I’ve made them proud

and lastly I would like to wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS & A FANTASTIC 2024 let’s hope is a better for some

I am so proud to announce that today I have had interview for deputy leader of the Labour Party in Walsall and have been informed that I have been accepted as deputy leader with Matt Ward as leader
This is were the hard work starts

Senior Walsall councillor suspended amid death club licence probe A senior Walsall councillor has been suspended by the Conservative group over alleged discrepancies in his declaration of interests.

This was not inevitable.

The Labour Party will make it our mission in government to secure the highest sustained growth in the G7 – with good jobs and prosperity in every part of the country, making everyone better off.
