A lovely day today at The Walsall Hub , a quiet event but met some fabulous traders there too. But tomorrow is our last event of the year at Birmingham BBB trading as our alter ego Faraway Fantasies - After Dark , we have lots of leather, pvc. Pinup and vintage items and much much more! Pop along and see us at Nightingale club in Birmingham city centre from 11-5!

We're all set up at The Walsall Hub in central Walsall on Green lane at the old Salvation army building, here until 4 so pop down and see us and lots of other wonderful traders too!

Well we were originally only doing 1 event this weekend on Sunday at BBB but we've had a last minute booking for The Walsall Hub this Saturday too!

It's a small local community hub in the centre of Walsall so perfect for some last minute shopping, we hope to see you there!

We're here at Tranquil Angel Events at Oak Park Leisure Centre until 4 today! Lots of lovely traders including Acorn and the Moo Wyrd's Web pagan ritual tools The Wyrdwood and more!

We're all set up at St Martin's Church Walsall , here until 5pm! This is a charity event raising money for Acorns so pop along and spend some pennies

Here tomorrow! A lovely local community fund raising event with lots of stalls and us too! We will have lots of kiddies fancy dress costumes, Preloved and vintage clothing. Nice warm coats and jackets and some sparkly numbers for holiday nights out!

We had a phone call from the lovely Samantha from Tranquil Angel Events to say they have had an opening for their HUGE Christmas event this Sunday and we jumped at the chance to go!

We will be at Oak Park Leisure Centre this Sunday from 11-4 with lots and lots of goodies for you all and some fabulous other traders including our friends Acorn and the Moo and The Wyrdwood

Quiet day here at Faraway. I've been sent to bed to nap after a wisdom tooth removal under sedation. My youngest daughter Pip is home educated and had an afternoon of art doing my make up. She's done a good job, always good to nap looking pretty!
I did sneak in a little charity shopping on the way home from the hospital. Got some Laura Ashley and an amazing levis jacket for stock.

I'm busy playing with a new set of dye, lots of new products in the pipeline for the summer. Twilight the cat seems to think she should be on the payroll......

What a weekend! Me and Anders' Crafts are exhausted after doing Gloucester Prison Alternative Market yesterday and Birmingham BBB today. But what a fabulous weekend it's been meeting so many wonderful people as well as returning customers, our trader family and so many more people.

A huge shout-out to all of the organisers of these events, they put so much work into making them what they are for us traders, we couldn't do it without them!

Tomorrow we've got lots to unpack (but much less than we loaded up with Friday) and organise and order new stock in for next events.

Our next event is Rogue Model Management alternative market in Manchester on the 2nd December which will just be Maddie trading (although Anders will be there to help) and hopefully BBB again mid December if they have space for us!

But for now, it's bed and relax.

(Not really but Anders' Crafts did an excellent job packing down as my wrist is still in a cast)

Faraway folks! (We just coined a new term for our followers!)

We have an abundance of kids fancy dress costumes at the moment (mostly girls Disney princess ones between ages 3-8, some boys and wigs too)and as it's not been one of our biggest sellers, now we are moving into our storage unit they do take up quite a lot of space!

So we are wondering what local charities around Walsall that would be interested in a donation of a few boxes of them from us that could pass them on to families at Christmas? We don't want to donate them to a charity shop as such, more charities that support families who would gift them on.

Does anyone have any recommendations please?

Our new storage space is getting filled and organised! We can't believe how much stock we had crammed in in hallways, spare rooms and at Anders' Crafts mum's house! So much space to get everything sorted now, and the lovely people at the storage place came to see us this morning as we were loading up and asked if we wanted some high racking shelves fitted too, 2 hours later we came back and they had put them in so we can store even more in crates above!

It's a massive financial investment for us but we know if we are going to continue to grow its definitely needed!

Hi all. Anders' Crafts here, Maddie from Faraway Fantasies is currently down for the count after having wrist surgery today (bones broken, grafted and plates fitted) so she won't be posting much to the page for the next week or so as she can't type!

Our next 2 events are next weekend at emerge events Gloucester prison market on Saturday, and Birmingham BBB on Sunday!

If you see us about please shout at Maddie not to do any lifting as she's on strict orders to rest for the next 6 weeks whilst it heals.

(Although she still managed to do her nails and was bought princess cake for being a brave girl at the hospital!)

New in today. I love this so much. Red lamb's leather long swing coat with faux red fur trim. In a 16.

Just some of the pre loved and vintage stock we have had in in the last week! All this still needs to be steamed and priced up. But some very exciting news too, we have taken on a large storage unit which we will be moving all of our stock into as of next week which means space at home to start photographing everything and launching our online sales too!

We're really sorry to announce that we won't be attending Phoenix forest retreat this weekend in Lincolnshire, I'm down with a nasty cold / flu / possibly covid and don't want to risk passing it on to anyone, and Andy from Anders' Crafts pulled his back out a couple of days ago and he's struggling to drive and lift so we haven't been able to pack the van today 😞

We were really looking forward to camp this weekend to end the season but have to prioritise our health.

We're going to rest for the next couple of days and possibly Sunday list some sale items on here to try and recoup some of the losses by not going this weekend
