Orford FC Under 15's 2022/23 Season

Absolutely disgraceful the way this club is currently being run.
I write specifically in relation to the Orford Under 15’s Greens team, who my son plays for and who I’ve sponsored for many years.
Through no fault of the team’s manager and coach, they have struggled to retain, and sign new players for the new 2022/23 season.
This was identified by them early in the signing on process and raised to the clubs senior management and help was urgently requested.
The help requested, was for the club to help recruit new players by way of advertisements, and liaising with other clubs who may also be struggling and in a similar situation
Ultimately the teams manager and coach wanted to make sure each and every player was given the opportunity to continue playing football, even if this meant at a different club.
One option was to facilitate a merger with another local team in a similar situation. Again, this needed help from the club and the FA to organise and provide crucial information to see if this was a viable option.
Sadly, none of the above was taken as urgent from the club, and time has now run out for the boys. The new season is upon us, and we have boys who simply just want to play football without a team.
Myself and my company as sponsor feel ashamed to affiliated to Orford FC’s way of handing this situation, but astonishingly proud to have been part of the journey for these lads, of which some have played for this team for 8 seasons or more and given everything to this club.
The families and most importantly the children have without double been let down by Orford FC.

This morning we host Redgate FC in a pre-seaon friendly, should be a great game.

Last nite the nets came out and it was attack vs defence in game like scenarios…the boys did well as we continue light sessions before pre season starts ⚽️

It’s worth to note that coach Lonsdale was beaten only once whilst wearing the gloves in the one on one challenge

Great training session last nite, season may have finished but the boys don’t want to stop. Every Monday 5:30 to 6:30 just a game of football played in right spirits ⚽️

We are currently recruiting for players to enrich our established team for the 2022/23 season.

If you are interested in playing under 15's football for a great community club then get in touch. We play our home games at the Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub on Saturday's.

Training is currently on Mondays 17:30 - 19:00 (Orford Jubilee)
