The scary thing is I realise I have now crossed the line of running my business for longer than I didn't run it! 😳

So I thought I would put some musings about my top learnings from my 23 years in business....I think I've probably earned the stripes to do that!! 😆

In so many other countries WhatsApp is a way that businesses communicate with their customers. As Standard.

So why aren’t businesses in the UK using WhatsApp more?

How could chat bot marketing strategies work for your business?

Today has been a bit different from the normal Monday (whatever that is!) as it’s been all hands on deck to sort and start to clear out our storage units!!

Prior to covid we ran 5 years of seasonal kids events- at quite a large scale and at various venues. During covid we then pivoted (not heard that word for a while! 😜) and ran hundreds of online, virtual events and experiences.

The thing is with live events (both in person and virtual) they are super fun to run - but they are HARD work operationally (especially at Christmas 🎄when you have your own young kids too)

We had a blast but following covid we had to make a decision whether to go back to running them as we had several of our previous venues asking us if we would pick up where we left off. And we realised that the thing we really loved to do was the marketing for the events!

We always sold out our events and the marketing was the part we found the easiest and most enjoyable. Once you then have to deal with operations (actors calling in sick, snow getting in the way of customers travel etc!) then it’s more 😏

So we decided to focus on helping other people with marketing for their events- what we learnt about using chat marketing for our own events is SO valuable for anyone running a family attraction, Festival or seasonal event of any kind. And now that WhatsApp also opening the comms channel options we can be a game changer for other peoples events!

So back to our storage unit!….

This means we have a huge amount of stuff that would be useful for anyone running a Christmas event, theatre or attraction.

Items like -

🎭 black theatrical drapes- great quality and we have more than I suspect the national theatre!! So if you know a theatre or similar venue who could benefit from a load of fire protected black drapes in excellent condition at bargain price please tag them!

🎅 Elf costumes, elf props, elf games, Christmas trees, props…you name it we probably have it to do with elves! (Oh and a fab snowman ☃️ and reindeer costume too!)

🎃 Halloween props, games, costumes

🐰 a selection of Easter bunny costumes

Backdrops for all themes and styles - Christmas, superhero, Halloween- if you want some good quality vinyl printed backdrops let me know your theme and we’ll let you know what we have.

The main reason we are doing this is we have so much great stuff that we don’t want to go to waste!
