Hello everyone! It’s been a while so I thought I’d give an update on FCOL! Over the last 2 years we’ve had some great experiences and had A LOT of fun but all good things come to end… so we’ve decided to go our separate ways for now but we’re still great friends and you’ll see us causing mayhem at barbershop events in the future ☺️☺️

Thanks to everyone who has been SOOO supportive to us during this time and we wish you all love and lots of luck for convention!!

And a Good Friday it was indeed… what a way to spend an Easter weekend, a little FCOL retreat filled with laughter, hard work and fantabulous coaching from the wonderful Emma Shanks! This morning, we head off to our first competition of the year: The International North Wales Choral Festival 2023. Based at the North Wales Choral Festival offers a range of competition categories across the weekend. We’ll be singing in the open category at 2pm.
We can’t wait to cross that stage along with some other choruses. Good luck to everyone competing and hopefully there’ll be an opportunity for us to have a sing together! 🎶🎵💈❤️

Jans maiden voyage as our new bass and we won our category at the Hazel Grove Festival today!! even had a special mention from the adjudicator for her solid performance… 88 scored… great day 🤩🤩…. We had a cracking rehearsal last night with the lovely Olivia helping us to really put our performance together on our new uptune. Thank you for making us brave enough to try and be cool 😅 We even managed a photo for once!

We were overwhelmed with the support for our search for a new bass and after multiple auditions held we are happy to welcome our new bass… Jan Varden to the FCOL fold. We’re looking forward to getting started and thank everyone for supporting FCOL so we can continue on our little journey!! ☺️

As part of the new Barbershop Harmony Society and LABBS alliance, IN HOUSE are honoured to accept the invitation from BHS to compete as the first LABBS quartet at the international convention. This is to be held in Louisville, July 2023.

We’re hoping to fundraise throughout 2023, so if you’d like to book us for a show or education event, to help us on our way, please contact us at [email protected].

We also have a Go Fund Me page, where any donations will be gratefully received!
We can’t wait to represent Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers on the international stage.

Well everyone.. it’s been a while since convention come downs, holidays and getting ready for Christmas. As we reflect on everything we achieved this year we’re looking ahead to 2023 and what is next for us….We do know one thing, our fab bass Gill is stepping back from singing for a little while with both us and Cheshire chord company, we’ll miss her lots but wish her all the best!

So it’s time to find a new bass for our 2023 plans, we’ve already got some things we’re signed up to and we’d love to get to work for prelims… so if you’re a budding barbershop bass and interested in singing with us, please reach out 😌
