We had a bit of luck with the win but you have to be in the right place sometimes and we were. Quick all day on old tyres and everyone else went new.

Some pictures from this weekends race at PFI, it was round 1 of their club championship. Some good things and some bad things but a lot of positives to take away over all.

Luca race report in his own words

Hi Grandma

We were racing at PFI (grantham) and yesterday struggled as the wind was very strong and we couldn't find the right setup but today we got on a lot better.

Practice one was quick but didn't have a slipstream which again it was windy and that cost us a lot of time.

Heat one was good had a great start until someone decided they wanted me out the race! but fortunately he didn't succeed but I did loose many positions.

I also went down the inside of a kart but he hit me but we were going round a high g-force corner and I was on the inside so that meant he spun off and they thought it was my fault-they thought I turned into him-and they gave me a five second penalty which was unfair I thought. Later on in that race when I was coming ninth on track without the penalty and then one of the really aggressive/ dirty drivers hit me on the last lap which caused the sidepod to come off which got me disqualified because you have to finish the race with your kart in one piece.

Heat two had a great start and I was high up in the order and it was extremely close and then one of the drivers held me up to let his teammates back in the race, he had missed a corner and rejoined the race!

I dropped down the order due to that and then once again I came across the same dirty driver which hit me and then I lost two positions and then overtook them in one corner but then he hit once more and I was unable to come out in front of them. He also hit me after we went across the start finish line, we reported him and they spoke to him but that’s not enough and should have given him a penalty!

The final I had to start 28th, I got a good start and was in the front pack with a possibility to win and then another driver drove me of the track, he broke his kart in the process and that lost quite a bit of progress and then a driver went over the top of me which again lost even more progress.

After that I continued to put in quick laps and the once again the same dirty driver hit me and overtook me but I stayed on his bumper and on the last lap he defended and I went round the racing line and I managed to get the cutback on him and create a gap which lasted me the whole lap and I finished 16th so made twelve places and then someone got a penalty which put me in 15th, see you soon and love you xx

Good weekend at PFI for the winter warmer. Quick all weekend, was disappointed with qualy as made a mistake on the plan but had two good heats and a final

P6 in the final and some mega pace.

Had a good weekend generally at Larkhall, great Friday and Saturday with good pace. The Kart and Engine were amazing thanks to and

Sunday didnt go to plan with a DNF in the Prefinal meant we started last for the final.

Mega pace in the final but fired off again - managed to get going but the race was ruined by another driver

I hadn't been to Larkhall for 765 days and wont rush back as it was a similar result last time for me and the England National team. England mens were beaten by Italy on the final day last time I was here and the girls beaten on the finals day this weekend!

Well done to for the win.
