Barney's Fabulous Fundraising
One young boy helping out local Charities Barney is 8 years old and lives with his parents and dog Martha Poo in Warwick town.
He has been a keen charity fundraiser for the last couple of years, concentrating on local Warwick charities. Barney loves tennis, computer games and anything ball shaped that bounces!
He’s at it again!!! This year it’s all delivered to your door (or safe place) he recommends you get your orders in quick for the crochet pigs as they go fast! Raising money for Safeline
Would there be anyone interested in learning how to crochet?
Would there be anyone interested in teaching a group of people how to crochet?
We’ve had a few people mention over the past year they would like to learn and we were thinking it could be a brilliant opportunity to bring local people together to learn something new and maybe produce a few crochet pigs in blankets or positive potatos for Barney’s Christmas pigs Safeline charity fundraiser 😁
Barney is on the lookout again for keen crochet people! he's doing his Christmas Pigs fundraiser again this year, raising money for our amazing local charity Safeline. If you crochet or know someone that does and would like to help Barney in raising funds from the comfort of your sofa then please shout and he will send you over the patterns for his pigs in blankets and or positive potatoes Christmas tree decorations 🐷🥔🎄
Wow!!!! Warwick you sure delivered once again in your amazing support for Barney.
Barney held his Dominoes Challenge outside Tilted Wig Warwick yesterday afternoon to help raise awareness and funds for Safeline.
Deputy Mayor, Councillor Dave Skinner, started the proceedings with the first game with Barney and then it was non stop for the next 4 hours. So many friends, visitors and supporters stopped by to say hello to Barney, challenge him to a game or two and collect their very yummy shortbread dominoes as well as donating to Safeline. The very kind and generous team from the Tilted Wig Warwick very kindly donated their tips to Barney's collection tin.
We are so pleased to say a fantastic £400 was raised during the afternoon in the Warwick sunshine.
Thank you to everyone for their support - we really couldn't have raised this much without you. Thank you also to Alex from Morrisons Leamington Spa Community Morrisons for donating the ingredients for the yummy shortbread.
Huge thank you to Barney for his continued thoughts and support choosing to support Safeline once again. You are a real star Barney.

Barney made Hope for children’s fundraiser of the month! He’s one very proud boy ❤️
Congratulations to Barney, who was unanimously voted our Fundraiser of the Month!
Barney raised an amazing £150 by painting the railings of The Warwick Eagle pub to raise funds for our Girls United football team in the slum area of Namuwongo in Uganda via the Tom Maccabee Memorial Fund.
The project uses football to enable the girls to access help and services that protect them from harm and allow them to complete a quality education. They have life skills sessions on nutrition, exploitation and sexual health and well-being and enjoy a nutritious meal, which for some will be their only meal of the day.
Barney started fundraising to highlight that not all children have access to everything they need or want and has found it so rewarding to get out and about, improve his social skills and spend quality time with his family - we think he is a superstar and such an inspiration!
Congratulations Barney and keep up the good work!

What a grafter! Stickering turned out to be the favourite part and Safeline is now safe for another year thanks to Barney 👍
Another early start for Barney this morning! Today he’s donating his time to help PAT test Safeline offices in Warwick. We thought we should get him going with a bacon bagel and strawberry milkshake at Jack's Shack 😋
The Warwick Eagle lovely neighbor gave him an Easter cake to keep his energy levels up! He’s done a grand job of the railings and raised a few quid for a great charity Tom Maccabee Memorial Football Fund
After an early start the boy needed fuel! he’s very fussy with his bacon sandwiches but Charlie has gained a 10/10 for this one 👌😋
All prepared and ready to paint! was a bit fresh this morning but nothing one of Freddie’s decaf mochas couldn’t fix 😋 Come down to the The Warwick Eagle to say hi to Barney. Raising funds for Tom Maccabee Memorial Football Fund Hope for Children
