As we all know it's been and continues to be a hard time with the price increase in living and products . This notice to inform that I too have to increase my prices to try to stay inline with inflation and cost of living although will try to do this at the minimal amount of cost and not to introduce further increase in the near future. There for my subcontractors rate will be £120 per day, although some negotiation can be made before a job starts and agreed. And a £160 day rate on private customers jobs. Thank you for your understanding in these difficult times and a sensitive matter.

Updates to business means new business cards. Qualifying with distinction in level 2 carpentry. With inspiration and help from

For D Minnell carpentry I fitted a luxury vinyl floor for his customer. Made of plastic so stable and rubber backed to give a very little soft bounce under foot in oak pattern a very enjoyable job and finish.

So when a new carpet is fitted it's common for the door to rub or even get stuck on the new carpet, I charged £30 a door at this time to take off and cut or plan. Would recommend new hinges but customers choice.

It's a very busy decorating week for smith_works_southern. For one of my favourite customers who just moved to one of my favourite places, gunners row 👍

Before, during and finish of a repair job. No carpentry but the sink pulled off the plaster. Repair then replastered then new sink and tap was decided.

My latest job. Briefing was to tidy up this area getting it ready for sale, made a bespoke door and frame including cill and weather bars made, repair render and clean off old paint and paint new Egyptian sand colour. I really enjoyed the job and very please with results. Thank you to the lovely customer for the work.

A before and after on a skirting and architrave job for a very nice couple which I enjoyed doing. There is a video too, I will try put it in comments.

A customer was unhappy with the summer house installation so we came up with a plan to improve the looks plus the addition of decking. It was a very enjoyable job for very enjoyable customers.

A nice little shelves job for a customer, strong bottom one and a floating top shelf.

A fencing job completed by myself. 5 new panels in existing concrete posts an 2 new panel to replace old trellis top panels. Complete job was under £300. Please do call if you have any fencing needs.

This is my rubber window gasket replacement with pictures of old dirty and new fitted for difference. I will also be doing replacement glass units on this window when possible.

This is my designed and bespoke tailor made bed for a space in a room. Castle styled bed with battlement top, carpeted stair case with draws in the stairs for storage, end cupboard with hanging rail and a hideaway/underbed office finished with a custom paint job

Assisted in laying p5 chipboard flooring then covering over with 18mm and 5mm hardwood ply

I've been working up on the roofs, and eating on them too.
