My Dear Clients,

It is with mixed emotions that I write this message to let you know that my time at Beauty Corner has come to an end on 16th of August. As some of you may know, I have decided to resign from my business in order to pursue new opportunities.
I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for the support and choosing my small business. I really value your support and It has been a pleasure to meet with all of you.
I would like to express my sincere thanks to all of you for the friendly conversations. I will miss our daily interactions.
In my small business Bianka & Pietro will be taking over my duties from 1st of September, to ensure that everything runs smoothly. However, they couldn't take any minutes from my clients so please try to use your left over minutes until my last day, do not hesitate to reach out to me if you need any more information.

☝️If your salon has a choice of lie down and stand up beds, switch them up from time to time
☝️ Always remove any makeup/ deodorant prior to tanning or do not block any UV light
☝️ Exfoliate your skin before you start to tanning
☝️ Always use a tanning accelerator/ bronzer before tanning.
These will help you tan faster and keep your skin moisturised
☝️ Switch up your lotions - when your skin has got used to one type
☝️Hydrate - Drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated
☝️ Moisturise - Always do this after tanning, bathing or showering. A moisturised skin tans easier and faster than dry skin
☝️ Do not wash off your lotions immediately after tanning. The tanning process continues so it is recommended to wait a few hours before you shower
☝️ Leave at least 24 hours between tanning sessions to properly develop.

Are you looking for a golden glow but aren’t sure what to expect?

You might have a lot of questions, such as how long a session should last and whether your skin can burn. First of all, don’t expect to see results after your first six minute session. How quickly you develop a golden tan depends on various factors from skin type to whether you’re using tanning accelerators.
Below, we have answers to the most frequently asked sun bed tanning questions to guide you in getting the best results while also caring for your skin.

How Long Does It Take to Get A Tan?

Usually, the results are noticeable after three tanning sessions, but it may take a few weeks of consistency to get a defined tan (at least 3-4 times weekly). If you are preparing a base tan before going on a holiday, consider starting tanning 6 weeks prior. If you plan to maintain a tan that you acquired during the holiday or one you already have, then one session a week would be enough.

Can I Get A Tan After One Session?

All skins tan differently, but the most important factor to consider is your skin type. Usually, the skin will not tan after the first session, and the results only become visible after 3-5 sunbed tanning sessions. These sessions allow the skin to oxidize its melanin, darken the cells, and produce a tan. Lighter skin types may need a few extra sessions for the tan to deepen. And hey, this process cannot be rushed, so be patient.

How Often Should I Tan?

After completing your initial 3-5 tanning sessions, your skin needs regular maintenance to prevent the tan from fading. Two sessions a week should be enough to deepen your tan regardless of your skin type. However, if your tan starts to fade before the next visit, it is generally recommended to wait at least 48 hours in between each session. This allows the tan to build up consistently and the cells to develop safely. It also gives your skin a chance to rest, regenerate, and repair the damaged cells. Avoid unnecessary sessions to protect your skin from burns and brown spots.

Allow Time to Tan Before Travel

If you choose UV tanning, start 6-8 weeks for best results before you travel to reach your color goals. If you’re new to tanning, your skin may not be ready for the sunless beds quite yet.

Start at a lower time and increase time with each session to avoid overexposure. This is the best way to allow your skin to build up a natural tolerance to UV rays on your vacation, and get a beautiful tan.

If you have wondered, “Should I tan before vacation?” The answer is yes! Get a base tan before vacation to help your skin prepare for soaking up the sun on the beach. By getting a base tan, your skin becomes four times less likely to burn from sun exposure than if you were to go out without a base tan.

Instead of spending time rubbing aloe vera on sunburns, tanning before you travel can help you to enjoy your time having fun in the sun. It also preps your skin to soak in more rays to tan even more while out in the sun.
