As we are approaching Easter we shall be taking part in the Living Eggs experience again as last year was a huge success and all the parents and children had a wonderful time taking part in the birth of our 10 little chicks. 🐣

If you would like your child to take part in this exciting experience then please speak to a member of staff at the nursery.

The chicks will be arriving on Monday 15th April 🐥

🧪 Science Experiment 🧪

Today the Preschool children have been experimenting with baking soda, food colouring and lemon juice.

How it works:
The sodium bicarbonate of the baking soda reacts with the citric acid in the lemon juice to form carbon dioxide gas. The gas bubbles are then trapped, forming fizzy bubbles. 🫧

Today in Preschool the children are learning about space and different planets.
They are using balloons to dip into paint and mark make on paper to represent the different coloured planets. 🎨

This week the babies are having a Disney themed week, yesterday they were creating their own Mickey/ Minnie Mouse picture frames. 🖼💙💜

Today in the Preschool room, the children were learning about Phonics through sensory play. ✍️🔠

Each child was able to take turns in being able to search for the different letters in which they needed to find.

This week the babies have been doing a ‘Careers week’.
Each day they have focusing on a different career path, on Monday they were creating their very own personalised hi-vis vests to represent all the different types of jobs that would require you to wear one; including builders, traffic wardens, warehouse operatives and many more.

Today in baby room the children are learning all about personal hygiene.
The children are being encouraged to put toothpaste onto their toothbrushes to be able to clean the germs off of the teeth.🦠

Today is the day that all our chicks are ready to be transitioned into their brooder where they will have more space and are able to eat and drink for the first time.

We welcome them into their new home as we leave them to settle.

We are please to announce that all our chicks have hatched and they are all doing well and are healthy.

We have 4 males and 6 females💛
