Jewels in Nature
Sharing the little blessings we see when we take time to slow down and look.
Jenni Klee - Photography - invited me to take part in a creative photography challenge.
For 10 days, I'll be sharing one piece of my work to celebrate creativity, passion, and the love for what we do!
Today, it's my boy Bobby on his last holiday. I said goodbye to him 9 years ago today. Through my love of labs, I started following Villager Jim, who became my inspiration to start wildlife photography ♥️
Today, I'm asking Kim Hiller Photography to join in and showcase her incredible talent! Let's support each other and spread the joy of art!!
Please don't forget to visit and follow.
Sadly, Belle has lost one cygnet, but the remaining four are growing quickly.
THE BIRDS! It was lunchtime on our school trip to the seaside. The seagulls decided to hang around. The screams from the children were more of excitement, than fear. 😄
Everyone meet Haze (from hazel- for the eyes!) Thank you Clair Fitzgerald for the suggestion. A lovely name for one of Amber's cubs. Named also in memory of Jim, who loved Amber and her babies.
Thank you all for your suggestions. I have listed some of my favourites in the comments. 🦊♥️
What a stunner! My new visitor needs a name. I'm not sure whether they are a young male or female. Any suggestions for names? 🦊♥️
I usually limit this page to my photography but this is such an important message from Chris Packham about the state of UK nature, that I thought I would share it. If you would like to here more about the state of nature and campaigns to restore it, can I invite you to join the Jewels in Nature Group .

I've been giving the pond a clear out with the help of the grandchildren. This little one was keeping an eye on things! 🐸
Under the protection - This mallard duck has chosen to raise her young on the same pool as Belle's nest. Although, sadly, she has lost one duckling, having the Beast around keeps the herons and other predators away and gives her babies the best chance of survival.
Won't be long now.....♥️
The ducklings have grown.....♥️
A trip to see these cuties today.....♥️
My granddoggy loving life! ❤️
Beauty and the Beast.....♥️
So lovely to be back swimming in the lake again. This week as I swan, I watched a grebe diving, coots battling, swifts soaring and had noisy geese swimming by. Beautiful! ♥️
What a difference two weeks make! The last image is from my first encounter with the goslings 😊
