Founded by Rosy Hardy in 1988, we're a small independent nursery based in a beautiful Hampshire vill Winners of 24 Chelsea Gold Medals.
Now recognised as one of the UKs leading plantsmens nurseries, Rosy and Rob Hardy started out 28 years ago selling plants from their own back garden for which demand grew rapidly. Today we stock over 1,200 plant varieties, including many rare and exciting species you'll simply never see in your average garden centre. Awarded RHS Master Grower status in 2021

Coreopsis 'Daybreak' (Li'l Bang Series) looking cheerful out on the nursery. You'll find this in our nursery shop and on our website for delivery by mail. Find us through the link in our bio.
Coreopsis 'Daybreak' produces masses of red star-like flowers, each petal edged with yellow. Blooming during late summer, the flowers stand aloft on wiry stems covered in fine, feathery foliage. It prefers sunny situations and can tolerant of partial shade but must have a well-drained soil - they don't like to be waterlogged in winter. Perfect for a gravel garden or sunny container, they make a cheerful addition to the front of a border too.

New stock this week includes Helenium 'Sahin's Early Flowerer', a 100% peat free and pollinator friendly plant, this Helenium is sought after for its delicious and varying mix of yellows and oranges within each plant's flowers. One of the first Helenium to bloom in early summer, it just keeps going on and on into mid autumn. Hardy and versatile, it is a wonderful ingredient for naturalistic prairie-style planting, but more than holds its own in an herbaceous border. New stock added this week includes Gypsophila paniculata 'Flamingo'. Popular with flower arrangers and gardeners, because of its frothy display of sugar mice pink double button flowers. It is perfect for creating hazy clouds of colour through a gravel garden or cottage garden border. Being very easy to work with, it has become a 'go-to' plant for any wedding bouquet, garland or table centre too. Cutting back gently after the initial flowers have faded encourages a second flush.

Lots of lovely colour being gathered this morning for RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival.
At this time of year, the Achilleas are really coming into there own. Here you'll see, among others, Achillea 'Fanal', Achillea ptarmica 'Boule de Neige' (The Pearl Group) and Achillea 'Gloria Jean'.

New stock this week includes Artemisia ludoviciana 'Valerie Finnis', named after Valerie Finnis who was awarded the Victoria Medal of Honour by the Royal Horticultural Society in 1975.
This has to be the best silver foliage perennial for the sunny border, almost bright silver-white when young. This perennial is easy to grow. It loves full sun and is ideal for a coastal, Mediterranean or gravel garden.
This plant is 100% peat free meaning that it has been propagated and grown on here at Hardy's using peat free growing media.
