What a fantastic night it was lastnight!

The first night of the Mouth of the Tyne Festival

Kicked off by Roachford and Ocean Colour Scene. Utterly fabulous atmosphere and fun was had in abundance. So much so, that I didn't take any photos!🤣... But, I did bump into one of my dear friends and managed to catch a spectacular sunset shot! What a location for an outdoor music festival! Perfect!

Yesterday's day trip allowed me to enjoy some retail therapy, as well as embracing the beautiful countryside we're lucky enough to be surrounded by here in the North of England. An absolute gem of a shop sits in the heart of the wonderful Blanchland village, and I was delighted to meet the lovely Bernice of Lilac and Thyme . A true inspiration and an absolute master of scents! I came away with a couple of my favourites, and I know there will be more purchasing once my daughter gets a hold of them. I love to support local, artisan small businesses, of which there are many. Another lovely lady we encountered on our visit was a lady called Becky, who took it upon herself to give us a private tour of the Lord Crewe Arms Blanchland and all its amenities, suggested a local walk and generally went above and beyond anything we could have expected, as did all the locals we encountered. The staff at the pub were utterly fabulous, and the food was delicious. They all made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, and i can't wait to go back for more! Check them out!🥰

So, I learned an interesting fact just before I nodded off lastnight.
I didn't know that metal spoons kill off enzymes in honey...which is why these utensils are used. Of course, I ran downstairs immediately to retrieve said utensil out of drawer to be used from now on!😅.... here's me thinking they were just another fancy piece of craftsmanship!🤣.... nature knows best! 😉
