My name is Michelle I have a 2 year old daughter and an 11 year old step son. I have always loved books and reading so decided Usborne was a wonderful way for me to pass on the joy of reading to children including my own.

So we are gearing up for Mia’s second week in pre-school!
What are your bits of advice to other parents who’s little ones are at the start of their school or pre school days!

So I have been really quiet due to enjoying some family time over the summer holidays and getting Mia settled in pre-school (how is she so grown up already?).

Possibly one of the best things we have at the moment! Definitely a hit with the 22 month old and the 10 year old 😂 who knew 🤷‍♀️

This week is Children’s Mental Health week!

With everything going on and all of our Children’s lives turned upside down for the last year, I though this deserved some real reflection!

Personally the last couple of weeks have been the hardest for my family!

What has helped you cope? It would be lovely if we could all share something that may help someone else!

Personally we have found things that require focus that have an end like puzzles, board games when Mia is in bed have helped William. For Mia it is messy play, she loves it, the simpler the better, and singing songs!

What has worked for your littles?

I’ve got an order going in this weekend as we need some busy books for both kids and a few books for homeschool!
