With soaring temperatures this weekend, please remember to never throw lit cigarette ends out of car windows – they can destroy whole fields of crops.

Do not leave bottles or glass in woodland – sunlight shining through glass can start a fire. Please take them home and recycle them.

⚠️🚫 We're asking that you please do not have a bonfire in your garden or elsewhere at this time.

The risk of wildfires in Berkshire is currently very high, and a bonfire could easily grow out of control.

Wokingham Borough Council have been awarded 💷 £300,000 by the Woodland Trust to fund our initial tree planting initiative.

We are one of only 🔟 authorities to have been successful.

Plans had to include detailed maintenance plans, not just planting plans.

🌳🌳🌳 Woodland particularly like our ‘Garden Forest’ initiative which will see initially 10,000 trees planted in resident gardens. A total of 250,000 trees will be planted.
