We need your help to end animal testing in the UK.
26 years after the UK banned animal testing for cosmetics, weâre still fighting to stop animals suffering & dying, in the name of beauty.
The UK government secretly abandoned the ban in 2019 â a fact only revealed in 2023 after a legal challenge by Cruelty Free International.
The Body Shop worked hard with Cruelty Free International back in 1998 to win the full ban, & weâve joined forces again to call for it to be reinstated in its entirety.

You all know how close to my heart this topic is as i bang on enough about it so please help us AGAIN in our fight for a full ban on animal testing for cosmetics in the UK !! đđđ°
DOG LICENSING PROPOSAL - Rejected!
We have spent the last 6 months chatting with respected leading organisations to see if a reintroduction of the dog licensing fee and a proper controlled structure around dog ownership and a clampdown on unregulated and underground breeders would help with the existing issue around the terrible plight of the XL Bullyâs and to avoid this problem happening with any new breed in the future.
Through high level discussions, we managed to develop a proposal document that was robust and would be backed by leading organisations and would raise huge amounts of funds that could be ploughed back into animal rescue, shelters, dog sanctuaries, and other dog rescue and rehabilitation campaigns.
Obviously our work started long before the ban came into effect, way back in the summer, and despite chasing the government and DEFRA repeatedly on our proposal document, we only heard over Christmas break that this is something they wonât even get into discussions about with us.
They seem to know everything and wonât even discuss it, apparently they have a âGood Dog Ownershipâ programme coming out which will rectify everything that is wrong currently according to them!
Of course, good dog ownership is to be applauded, but by having a âGood Dog Ownershipâ programme, this wonât address so many part of the problem including the underground breeding, and unless that is tackled, the situation will just happen again and again.
Also, it wonât help the dogs in need right now and they are even being PTS although there is a stay on euthanisation achieved by recently!
To anyone helping these dogs out right now we salute you. Everyone whoâs heart is breaking now, we send you so much love đâ¤ď¸
Wow! What great news to see today! have achieved a temporary stop on the immediate euthanising of XL BULLYS! đâ¤ď¸
Whoever tells you going for the impossible wonât work.
That going up against the government and the big boys you donât stand a chance.
THIS IS AMAZING! Huge thanks true heroes!
Hereâs hoping it leads to a permanent rethink and reassessment of this situation and the plight of the very misunderstood XL Bully breed.
Huge thanks to all who made this happen and outside of this, every single person who is helping get Bullyâs re-homed, registered, and safe.

BIG NEWS! Super excited to announce that DAVE will be joining us to help us talk to people about the horrors of the vivisection industry and in particular toxicology in his case.
His Mum Kerrie is a staunch anti-vivisection campaigner and adopted Dave from Beagles of Burgundy who had rescued Dave from a toxicology lab.
He was set to be euthanised as he was no longer of use, which was what our petition was all about that we handed in to Downing Street this year! Rehome those beagles that are no longer of use and donât kill them!
Kerrie and Dave will help us with some big campaigns to educate the UK about the horrors of animal testing and we cannot thank them enough for jumping on board!
More to follow from Dave but he says todayâŚ
âI canât wait for Christmas with my Mum and Nanny. They give me so much love and I feel safe now.â
Heres to a magical Christmas for Dave and all of us.
Regroup and letâs come out fighting in 2024 so no beagles or other animals are in cages next Christmas đ
SAVE THE DATE! Saturday 17th February, 2024.
Nationwide outreach to come together to shout loud for the MBR Beagles and other animals used in vivisection.
Over 3 million animals die in the UK every year, one every 8 seconds. THIS NEEDS TO STOP!
Over 90% of animal testing fails!
We have to MAKE THIS STOP!

Wow, incredible outreach at HULL at the weekend, arranged by the fabulous Linda!

What an amazing outreach and the beagles (as with London) went down a storm and attracted loads of intrigue and interest.
People donât realise this horrific murderous trade is still going on and the trick is just getting them to stop and take a leaflet or listed, so congrats on such an amazing and engaging event.
Thanks so much Linda and all the amazing HULL outreach team.
You are awesome!

Powerful LONDON Outreach at the weekend around Kingâs Cross and then Covent Garden.
Amazing organisation by Mike Reid and thank you to everyone who came and supported including some new friends from Hampstead Heath Beagles.
ďżź
We have an incredible team and Heather and Kirsty (who had also rescued an owl that morning!) even managed to rescue a very poorly pigeon from Covent Garden and get it taken to a wildlife sanctuary⌠not easy in the middle of busy Christmas in London.
The depth of the love vegans have for any living breathing creature is amazing to witness.
It was awesome to spend time together as a group and engage with people and spread the awful message about vivisection still going on unnecessarily today!
Still so much disconnect though, heartbreaking
ďżź
Thank you for all the outreaches and everyone who connected with us and signed up for life info!
p.s. We even got told off at King's Cross for putting our posters rather visibly!

* LOUIE IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION *
Louie is a very loving, owner-focused dog, but has had aggressive episodes and has bitten several family members.
He has behavioural problems around resource guarding and he needs some training to be around visitors or strangers in house environments (e.g. in his own home or visiting other peoples houses)
Louie has Hip Dysplasia, he is now on anti-inflammatories which seem to be helping. He will need monthly supplements (his insurance will cover costs for this and his policy is transferable to a new owner), and his hip dysplasia could help explain his reactivity in the past. He has no other medical conditions - weâve also noticed that when he has a bad stomach his resource guarding gets worse.
He loves other dogs, always going up to them on walks and wanting to play. 95% of the time he is very happy with people on walks, going up and sniffing them - he doesnât always like being stroked sometimes backing away when people reach out to stroke him. We encourage people to give him treats and take it slow - this seems to be helping.
We have all Louie's bite history to send potential adopters.
Please bare in mind that Louie will have a strong home check and serious adopters only.
Louie is not neutered yet, to be discussed.
Louie is 1 year and 5 months old.
If you think your the right person for Louie then please email
[email protected]

WILLOW & HOLLY
* UPDATE WILLOW & HOLLY HAVE BEEN RESERVED *
âWillow & Holly are approximately 11 week old Beagles.
âThese two were rescued from an illegal puppy mill and were kept in freezing temperatures outside when we arrived to investigate.
âOnce we saw the scared, smelly, cold babies we couldnât leave without them. After some negotiation we managed to leave with these two but have plans to close the place down. We will need your help for that, there is a post on Exposing Crueltyâs Instagram and page on how to report the breeders.
âDue to the close bond these sisters have, we are hoping to keep them together in their forever home. They are currently in foster with a 3 year old Beagle who is proving to be a necessary foster mum to help teach these babies vital life skills.
âWillow & Holly need a very loving, patient home where they can get the training they need to grow. Are Willow & Holly the right match for you?
Please email us at [email protected]
Exposing Cruelty
* UPDATE REX HAS BEEN RESERVED *
Rex was approximately born May 2022 (6 months old), English White Setter X Spaniel.
He is residing with his current owner who has had him from 9 weeks old, due to their household circumstances they cannot keep Rex for much longer. He currently lives with children. Until Rex comes into our foster, all of the information has been passed on from the current owner therefore may differ slightly.
Due to Rex's prey driven breed he is reactive around small animals, cats and birds. He gets on with other dogs on walks and is highly intelligent so he needs lots of mental and physical stimulation. He is vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, flea treatments up to date and will be neutered at 9 months old before he's rehomed. Therefore, Rex will be available for adoption in February 2023.
He suffers from separation anxiety but being a puppy; this could be worked on over time.
âRex needs a very loving home where he can get the training he needs to thrive. Is Rex the right match for you?
Please email us at [email protected]

* UPDATE WOODY HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME *
Woody is approximately 10 years old. He's originally a rescue from Romania therefore we do not have much information on his past or exact breed. What we do know is that he's a Pomeranian cross who has not been outside or walked for 7 years. Due to deteriorating health of his current owner he wasn't mentally or physically stimulated in that time; therefore has been surrendered to EC as he was due to be put to sleep.
He is in a foster home now and seems very calm and relaxed with his surroundings. His current foster home has parrots and a young child which he is very well behaved with.
We are hoping to track down his health history but currently we do not know of any long term health issues. He is suffering from bad skin but the vet believes its due to his awful environment and diet which he is currently having treatment for and his vaccinations are now up to date.
Being a cute old man, he loves to cuddle up on the sofa and do minimal exercise. Woody needs a very loving, relaxed home where he can live out his retirement. Is Woody the right match for you?
Please email us at [email protected]

About Ted!
Ted is a very loving beagle, he hasnât had the best start but considering his horrible life he is a very affectionate boy, he gets separation anxiety so would require someone who is at home a lot and can take him on all their adventures!
He also hasnât been bothered about the fireworks and is a super loving bouncy beagle who loves cuddles and long walks, Ted has never been on a walk in his life so soon as he was in his foster home he loved it!
If you think you could be the one for Ted please apply at [email protected] and ref TED so we can send you out a questionnaire
