Windows 11 is coming soon.....is your PC ready?
Windows 11 will be released later this year (the expected release date is Nov/Dec 2021).
Microsoft has confirmed that TPM 2.0 will be a requirement for Windows 11. What is this and is your PC ready?
TPM (trusted platform module) is a security mechanism for storing encryption keys and other security information securely on your PC.
Many PCs and laptops will not be equipped with this component so will be unable to run Windows 11.
To find out if your computer is ready, open a Run command (Windows Key+R or right-click the start button and select run) Type TPM.msc and hit enter. This will tell you if you have a TPM installed and active and what specification it supports. Unless you have a TPM chip with specification 2.0 you will not be able to run Windows 11. Struggling to play DVDs in Windows 10 ?

Microsoft dropped support for Media Player in Windows 10. If you upgraded from a previous operating system their DVD player is included but if you have a new machine with Windows 10 installed there is often no software to play pre-recorded DVDs. You can download Microsoft's player from their App store but this will cost you £15 and the reviews for this product are not great.

We would recommend using VLC Player available from http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

This is available free of charge and will play most DVDs.

Ensure that you download the desktop version from the website link included and NOT from the Microsoft store - the VLC player App from the store does not include the necessary CODECS for playing DVDs.
