Chevy Chase Stole My Wife
female fronted is not a genre We like to play rock music, and we like to have fun. Do you?
It was with deep sadness that we recently learned of the sudden death of Stuart Silcock, lead guitarist with the band Chevy Chase Stole My Wife. 'Chevy Chase' were winners of the Pilton Stage '23 resulting in them playing some great sets on several stages at Glastonbury this year. You couldn't wish to meet a nicer, gentler man than Stu. Our thoughts are with his family, his fellow band members Emma, Jamie & Neil and his many friends.
He will be more than missed.
As per the below article, the funeral for our dear Stu will be held at Worcester crematorium on the 17th of November at 2:30 p.m. followed by the wake at THE SOCIABLE BEER COMPANY in Worcester from 3:30 till 7:00 p.m.
All are welcome to join in sharing memories and celebrating the life of a wonderful man.
We’d like to thank the Worcester News for their touching and considerate article.

Tribute paid to 'kind, genuine and talented' musician who died at age 45 A TOUCHING tribute has been paid to a "kind, genuine and talented" musician who died from a heart attack.
We are devastated to have to inform you of the passing of our talented, loving friend and band mate Stuart Silcock.
We ask at this time that you can give us
the space we and his family need to try and process this monumental loss.
Details of how you can honour Stu will be made available as and when possible.
Neil has always been a fan of a hat. Having one close by at all times gives him immense comfort. 😛
LOOK OUT👀! We are so excited to share the album with you that we just had to let a little slip beforehand!
OMFG Emma the single is out on the 17th of November, pre-save it now here:

Unfortunately in the last week the news broke that not only had been sold for the second time in a couple of years, but that majority of the staff had been laid off immediately by the new company.
This is terrible news for the small artists such as ourselves who use this platform as a way of getting our music out there and accessible to the masses. What will become of Bandcamp Fridays we don't know at this time. Anthony Fantano of Needle Drop explains all over on his YouTube channel:
This Is Awful News About half of Bandcamp employees have been laid off:https://www.theverge.com/2023/10/16/23919551/bandcamp-layoffs-epic-songtradrIs Bandcamp as We Know It Ove...
What's your song? We'll go first! Emma's is I Wish You Well by Josie and the Pussycats 👌
this time from Stu!
"Here is a review from Premier Guitar for the new pedal I used on some of the recent recording. They're quite unique as they let you completely replace your amps preamp - giving your existing amp a completely different sound, whilst being able to completely bypass and use your normal amp tone at a click of a foot switch"
You too can hear how this sounds on the 9th of December!
Victory V4 The Kraken Review Packaging the Kraken amp’s preamp in a stompbox yields a flexible, malleable, and monstrous high-gain machine.
Fun fact, Stu has always had curls but they haven't always been as long as they are now!
This is Emma. Emma's job is Pool. Be more Emma.
2 of 4 of the Chevy gang happened to be in warm countries at the same time but completely separate locations 😂
Write that book. Hum that song. Paint that picture.

This is Jamie. Jamie's job is Kayak. Be more Jamie.
CMAT has a new album out today and to say we're excited is an understatement! In this article by DIY it mentions her "breakout performance on Glastonbury Festival 's Woodsies stage" which we were incredibly lucky to get to see. A highlight for the whole band that weekend, it was incredible! 😍

This the theme is "Mental Health is a universal Human Right" and to help today we're sharing some lyrics from our track Anxious Teeth. Hopefully you don't know the feeling of when you're so anxious you can feel it in your teeth, but if you know you know.
Don't forget, you're not alone, it can get better, and reach out!

We're loving Mitski 's new album The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We, and seems like we're not the only ones! The Guardian gave it a 4/5⭐️review, give it a read!
Mitski: The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We review – a songwriter with stunning melodic power Playing country-inflected orchestral pop with sardonic wit and deep feeling, Mitski underlines why she’s one of the very best singer-songwriters working today
Happy to all our music loving pals far and wide!
It goes without saying that music is incredibly important to us but this is for deeper reasons than some might be aware of. Studies show that music has many health benefits both physically and mentally. So today on International Music Day, crack open a fresh album & cheers to your health! 😘🎵
