Oakenshaw Pavements
Delivering for Headless Cross & Oakenshaw: We’ve had new surfacing laid between Oakenshaw North and South, and Tom Baker-Price has been instrumental in getting something done about the anti-social mini-bikes near Lineholt Close. Just two examples of the work we are doing locally.

TRAIN STATION 🚉 Plans for an upgraded and enhanced Train Station in Redditch have been revealed by Worcestershire County Council. The existing station building will be replaced by a modern and fresh design befitting our town for the 21st Century. The new building will have room for a cafe, and will be set on two levels: platform level with ticketing lobby, and the upper level with the entrance and cafe. This means there will be a flat walk across from the train station to the Kingfisher. No more shuffling into the little gap between the crossing and the wall whilst you wait to cross. Access to the upper level will be via stairs or a lift for those with accessibility needs. The car park will feature a new drop off point and roundabout for entry and exit. The entrance to the car park will also be upgraded and enhanced, especially to improve access for people on foot. The plans are part of papers released today ahead of a Cabinet meeting at County Hall on 27th October. You can view the details at https://worcestershire.moderngov.co.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?MId=5248&x=1& Please let me know what you think about these plans. You are also welcome to attend the Cabinet meeting on the 27th at 10:00am and you can even have the opportunity to say a few words to the cabinet members if you like.

VIDEO: Proclamation of His Majesty King Charles III by Mayor of Redditch - Cllr Ann Isherwood today, Sunday 11 September 2022, at the Redditch Bandstand on Church Green. Well attended by a crowd in good voice. Madam Mayor did an excellent job delivering this moment for the Borough of Redditch. Well done to Redditch Borough Council for laying on the event.

As always, this timetable is subject to change due to the prevailing political conditions, ongoing conversations and any obstructions along the way. But all being well, I hope to implement my timetable in full as outlined. I need your support to make this happen.

At County Hall today we debated how the County Council can support local cycling and walking plans. We are a pro-Active Travel council that believes in promoting modal choice. Here’s an edited version of the full debate available at worcestershire.gov.uk
