Consumer unit upgrade carried out today.

Does your consumer unit still have the old re wire able fuses ?

Maybe it’s time to think about the safety of your consumer unit.

In this house the customer had a wall light in there lounge that has been up 30 years since the house was built. Today after swapping the consumer unit when the light was switched on it tripped the circuit, after further investigation it was wired up incorrectly, neutral / earth reverse.

Fault rectified and it’s safe to say the customer is grateful for their new SAFE consumer unit.
