my mum sadly passed on new year’s eve from a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer, and during her short but intense 8 months battle, st barnabas showed nothing but love and support, and continue to do so to this very day to our family.

I’m not a political person, though this quote has always given me the utmost attention in the film: A Bugs Life.

We Talk Together are trying desperately hard to get in contact with the government, the council, apply for funding and grants to help us proceed and grow into something incredibly magic. To be able to do something good, spread positivity and get the ball rolling.

Though, every time we try and do this we are shot down, our business account was closed, and we’ve been rejected three times for funding.

We genuinely will not stop, and we will try and keep doing the utmost good, and spread nothing but awareness to our mental health and change the world as we view it.

I just think this quote sums it up how we are feeling, because we feel the most stupid and ridiculous amounts of money that people are offered, granted, and accepted. Most of that money we’ve seen blown, hasn’t been for good causes at all.

We will keep going, we will keep plodding along and continuing to grow. We just feel by trying to stand up, fight for what is right, there are those who are quick to throw the idea away. 💡

Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend! Just a quick update:

A total of £250 has gone into this weeks project involving Worthing Hospital, and their wonderful children’s ward: Bluefin.

We are scheduled to have a mix of five super-heroes & mascots visit 20-30 children on the day. This will involve a meet and greet, colouring book gift bags, and a wonderful cake that has been specially made to celebrate the true heroes of this world.

A special video will be made and pictures will be shown with consent to keep you noted on everything that happens.

We want to thank everyone who donated to The Heathers Hope fundraiser to make this possible.

Hi everyone 👋

Just a quick update about the fundraising project and about the total of £625 that was raised.

We Talk Together has organised for six Super Heroes and princesses to visit the Children’s Ward in Worthing Hospital in August, with a total of £200 being put towards the project.

We feel that all of Worthing Hospital & The NHS workers who work incredibly hard day in day out to provide such exceptional service is where the first part of this journey will begin.

In these tough times, with so many young people who from a young age who are struggling under the radar, we feel that they would benefit an afternoon of superheroes, princesses and surprises. The name in this project is what is says on the tin, and the real ones are the ones who don’t wear capes after all!

We look forward to this event, and can’t wait for you to see the outcome.

32 people made this incredible target possible. I want to thank each and everyone one of you who donated, shared, read the story and took the time to acknowledge what We Talk Together is trying to build.

The progress doesn’t stop there, as we’ve got some incredibly exciting stuff happening in the next few weeks that will be all about giving back to those who are the true hero’s.

You will be kept updated on what’s going to be happening, a video will be made about the updates on the lives you’ll be changing with this money. Today is the last day of the We Talk Together’s Fundraiser for Heathers Hope. The £500 target was absolutely smashed. I can’t say thank you enough, I really can’t.

I just want to explain a little bit more about the organisation We Talk Together, so that everyone understands what we are about, and gives you more of an insight about the future. We are a limited company, that will (fingers crossed) soon become a charity.

What We Talk Together wants to offer is a service that will be focused solely on those who struggle with their mental health. This will also expand to those who are finding themselves in situations that are currently difficult in their lives. We Talk Together aim to give an alternative way of seeking help and guidance to be able to find a light at the end of the tunnel. Bare in mind, we understand this world is cruel, so we want to create groups, events, places and spaces for all, who want to look forward to and be apart of something unique and special to change the narrative in how we all deal with life. We want to build a world in our eyes where you will be able to come together in a respected and non-judgemental environment, where the right support is offered, and to be in a place where everyone is made to feel welcomed together. We aim to stop those who fall through the cracks of our underfunded systems, waiting lists and help support the ones who remain unseen.

We Talk Together want to spread awareness and hope to those who feel stranded in the darkness, by opening up the blinds and letting in the light we all have in ourselves.

Our values and beliefs as an organisation is that everyone’s journey is different. No-ones paths are ever the same, and by coming together, we truly believe that it will be such a powerful thing for all to be apart of.
