Part time Sales Assistant wanted to work in our store on Weekends.

The shifts will be on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday and a desirable applicant will be able to help out with holiday and absence cover.

Customer Assistant handling all aspects of store duties, including: tills, deliveries, stock replenishment, general cleaning/upkeep of the store and more.

Three shifts including: Friday, Saturday and Sunday (14 hours).

Minimum wage applies.

If you are lucky enough to look under the age of 25, we may challenge your age when it comes to buying restricted products including: ci******es and alcohol.

Please note that the following are the only LEGAL and acceptable forms of ID:

passport (UK or international; unexpired)

driving licences or provisional driving licence (UK or EU; unexpired)

proof of age cards with a PASS logo, such as, a CitizenCard or Young Scot card

EU national identity card (unexpired)

A photograph (on your phone) of such WILL NOT be accepted, so please refrain from trying this in our store.

As from next month, the 22nd April 2021, the legal age to participate in the National Lottery will be rising from 16, to 18 years of age.

This includes all draws in the lottery as well as scratch cards and online forms.

As were a small store, it can get very crowded after this number. Especially if we are handling Paypoint requests or other time consuming tasks behind the tills.
We will be using our discretion however, as customers with pushchairs or mobility devices may need more space while browsing the aisles.

Good evening everyone,

Just a quick reminder to inform you all that we still close at 8pm, rather than our traditional time of 10 o’clock.

We are noticing a lot of customers approach the store after 8 o’clock and a lot of customers who are coming in last minute. This causes unnecessary queuing and means that it becomes hard for us to control Social Distancing measures throughout the store.

Please give yourselves ample time to arrive at the store and to checkout with your groceries; so that we can all get home safely to our families as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

The weather is nice and our four legged friends are being walked more frequently now. Despise the fact that we only allow service dogs in the store, I wanted to share this post.

It’s come to our attention, that some persons with two particular dogs, have been carelessly allowing them to approach other dogs, while off the leash and attack others beloved pets.
I beg you, if this sounds familiar, please, keep your dogs on a lead where it is a legal requirement to do so and if you know that your dog is potentially aggressive to other canines, please bare this in mind before setting them loose in a public space.

I’m sorry that this is non-shop related, but I wanted to make sure that our locals and their pets are kept safe during this already difficult time.

Our staff have been working hard as usual, to keep the shelves shocked up for you.

STORE CHANGES (in response to COVID-19)

For staff and customer safety, we ask that you please keep your distance when in the store. If there are already numerous customers in the store, please do not be offended if we ask you to wait outside until they have vacated the premises.

Depending on our current stock situation, please do not be disheartened if we refuse sale on duplicate items of high demand goods. We have to make sure we have enough stock to provide for the whole community. These may include: baby milk, toilet roll and pain relief.

Lastly, but very importantly, please do not come to the store for non-essential items. We have witnessed high volumes of customers who have still been coming in to the store for items such as scratch cards and alcohol. We understand that it is hard to break habits that you are so used to on a daily basis; but the government has asked that we all try to avoid going out unless it is absolutely necessary. Many of our staff members feel very vulnerable at this difficult time and we ask that our customers try to empathise with us and comply with our wishes.
