🌼Pesky Ragwort🌼

Another hour completed today. I highly recommend you keep on top of any Ragwort in your fields.

Did you know, one Ragwort plant can produce up to 200,000 seeds!
These seeds can also stay dormant in the ground for as long as 20 years.

So I really urge everyone to pull the Ragwort as soon as you spot it!

1hour of focusing on just leaves and roots, another hour in another location battling the hot weather (27°c) and making a start on some big plants.

🌼Ragwort is poisonous to horses, don’t let Ragwort take over your fields.

🌼You haven’t got the time to pull that pesky Ragwort? Got a bad back? Sore shoulders? Not to worry, this is where I come in handy…..

🌼I take my time pulling the roots up too, don’t want that Ragwort growing back!

🌼Catch the Ragwort before it flowers and spreads it’s seeds, otherwise it’s going to be twice as bad next year!

Think about the heat before taking your dogs out.
Heat chart to help anyone who’s unsure of when they can take their dog out.
Enjoy the heat but keep your furry friend safe🌞

Remember, if it’s too hot for your hands or your bare feet, then it’s too hot for their paw pads! ⚠️

If you’re unsure whether it’s okay to let your pet go for a walk on pavements, a simple way to test the temperature is by holding your bare skin on the tarmac for five seconds ⏱️

If you find it painful, then your pet will find it painful to walk on!

To protect your pet, it’s best to avoid walks during the hottest part of the day, which is usually between 8am and 6pm. If you can't safely exercise your dog, missing a day won't hurt.
