Couldn't be more true. No matter what you choose to do getting started is tough, very tough. You just have to find that inner motivation and keep going until it becomes a habit, when it becomes habit it becomes a lifestyle!
After being a little piggy π· over Christmas and New year I actually can't wait to start this months challenge and start feeling normal again π who's joining me?
Don't be afraid of protein! Protein is essential for our bodies and is not just for 'body builders' of your goal is weight loss, increase your protein, if your goal is strength gain, increase your protein, if your goal is building muscle mass, increase your protein!! In other words protein is the building blocks for success so don't be afraid of it!
So life has been super busy lately but today I received this as a little reminder of all the people that I've helped feel healthier, happier and who are changing their lives (and my own)! Thanks for the recognition.

Massive realisation of how far I have come! The scales can tell one story but this for me really shows the story from where I started to where I am now πͺπͺ
Apologies for the lack of posts lately.
I'm now back in work full time and just taking a while to find balance in that thing called 'life' i didn't realise how hectic life normally is until I was forced to stop β
I actually enjoyed lockdown, I focused on me, my health, my home and just took that time to slow down.
Anyway I'm still exercising and on plan 80-90% of the time. I'm spending more time in the gym and weight training but still getting at least 1 or 2 runs in a week πββοΈ
First run in my new trainers today, I went to and had a gait analysis which I highly recommend as I confirmed my suspicions that I had been running in the wrong shoe for the last 6 months π€¦ββοΈ
I'm still here for any questions if anyone is struggling with their own health and fitness goals!

Yesterdays challenge on our 21 day challenge was most colourful meal. Think we nailed it with this lovely steak salad. So many colours and different flavours. Eating healthy doesn't have to be boring β€π§‘ππππ
Meat free Monday was the gorgeous Ratatouille π took out the bacon lardons and added a tin on mixed beans which added extra protein. Simple to make and one of my favourites from the cookbook!
With some amazing results in July it's time to kick on into August πͺ
Some new ideas for this challenge with live workouts, mini daily challenges suitable for all, live cook alongs, weekly Q&As, meal and snack ideas it really is the best way to kick start your journey!

Throwback Thursday π sometimes you need to look back to see how far you have come.
The first picture is after trying many 'diets' and before I found Herbalife Nutrition, being educated and discovering that its a lifestyle. The second picture is back in March just before lockdown! Since that picture I have lost over another stone and started running, hitting 5k PB's and even doing a 10K run!
There is no going back for me, I'm the happiest and healthiest I have ever been! I honestly thought I was just destined to be overweight and unfit πββοΈ

The most beautiful spot for tea last night. Bike ride round lake Vyrnwy before tucking into halloumi salad on the lake side. No excuses to eat unhealthy, took a little camping stove with us and cooked it there π
An easy way to look at your portion/serving sizes. I usually say to my guys starting out, half the amount of carbs your having now and double the amount of veggies and you'll be on to a winner π

I often use this reference when chatting to people about weightloss. I also say think about how much better your car runs on premium fuel rather than economy. Food is fuel, your body cant run without it but also think about the quality of foods you are consuming, better quality β‘οΈ better function. Make your calories count!
Todays bake was chocolate brownies! Only 90 calories per slice!
I see lots of people trying to restrict calories but completely forget about balanced nutrition. Macros are the simple building blocks to your nutrition and so important for good health. Think about the quality of your calories rather than just the amount. Swipe for a handy cheat sheet!
Really quick and simple bake today. Chuck it all in a bowl to mix and bake for 18 mins. Super handy snacks when craving something a little sweet!

Bit of bad news today, I've been put on furlough again π plus side I was home early so had time to make this and ow my its delicious. It's a front runner along with the banana bread! I actually love this cookbook!

My Story
Welcome to my Herbalife Nutrition page.
I have started this page to help other who are struggling with their own health and nutrition. I used to be a jockey but after numerous injuries I had to give it up and subsequently I gained a lot of weight. I got to a point where I had lost all my body confidence and no longer recognised myself in the mirror. I was classed as obese, lacked energy and the drive to do anything.
I was first introduced to Herbalife by a colleague and she offered me a trial as I was initially sceptical. A few days in my energy levels had risen and I started to feel better within myself. 6 months on I still use the products every day, I have lost 2 stone (still dropping) I am full of energy and just in general feel better within myself.
Just one conversation with a colleague genuinely changed my life and now I want others to do the same. Sometimes just knowing where to start is the hardest thing.
