🎄12 Days of Giving Something Back!🎄 Last but not least, our 12th Day of #GivingSomethingBack, we are focusing on the incredible amount of charitable donations that have been raised over the years through Best Companies. Many of the organisations that work with us have made charitable donations for every b-Heard survey returned to us and this alone has raised a massive £251,388 for good causes both here and abroad in 2023. This brings our grand total collected over the last 14 years to a staggering £2,841,388!! It doesn’t stop there as we match any internal donations, and as part of our #GivingSomethingBack in 2023 Best Companies staff raised a whopping £6,915.75 for the following charities: Comic Relief, Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) – Turkey & Syria Earthquake Appeal, Shelter, The Trussell Trust, BBC Children in Need, Wrexham Foodbank, Cancer Research UK Race for Life, Lighthouse Club, British Red Cross - Morocco Earthquake Appeal, UNICEF - Libya Floods, Macmillan Cancer Support, Guide Dogs UK, Wrexham Business & Community Awards & St Roccos Hospice. 🎄12 Days of Giving Something Back!🎄 Day 10 and we’re spotlighting the wonderful 1⭐Accredited company; Scottish Friendly! Scottish Friendly raised funds for Action for Children by taking donations from employees as part of a Christmas Gifting Tree, Christmas Jumper Competition and bake and book sales. The organisation has also supported the Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour for 25 years. This charity brings authors, illustrators, and other creative practitioners to schools, libraries, and public venues across the UK in order to improve children’s literacy. 🎄12 Days of Giving Something Back!🎄 Day 9 we’re celebrating the incredible 2 ⭐⭐ Accredited Roc Search! The organisation ran its Christmas toy appeals across all of their offices, supporting multiple local charities including Reading Family Aid, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Children's Charity and Wood Street Mission. Employees at Roc Search collected over 1,000 toys for disadvantaged children and its team also volunteered at the weekend to help the charities sort and categorise all the toy donations. Outside of Christmas time, they have a vast Corporate Social Responsibility outreach including being an official ReadingCAN Supporter, Recycling stations in all offices, split into paper, plastic, glass and mixed, motion sensor lighting in the offices, and were the Green Apple Award in 2021 for Environmental Best Practice winner. #Charity #GivingSomethingBack #BestCompaniesCommunity #12DaysOfChristmas

In the most recent b-Heard survey, 92% of their staff agreed ‘This organisation is keen to help people from disadvantaged backgrounds’. Most recently, staff have walked over 20 miles from the organisation’s office in Tonypandy to Cardiff, raising over £5,000 for Christmas Hampers for its tenants. 🎄12 Days of Giving Something Back!🎄 On day 7 we are celebrating the 2 ⭐⭐ Accredited Fintel! In their most recent b-Heard survey, 83% of their staff agreed to the statement ‘My organisation encourages charitable activities’. The organisation signed up to support Yorkshire Children's Centre with their Toy Appeal last Christmas. With donations from staff, the business contributed £500 towards the purchase of additional toys and treats for the children. Alongside other local employers, the organisation was able to support 781 children, across 263 families. Fintel business Defaqto also voluntarily reviews and edits financial guides for Macmillan Cancer Support to help people living with cancer and their families. And it provides free licenses for research tools so university students can understand different financial products and how they may advise clients if they enter the industry. #Charity #GivingSomethingBack #BestCompaniesCommunity #12DaysOfChristmas
