Ray's Tiney Home Nursery
πRegistered childminder
πLet's explore and play.
πOpen times: Mon-Fri (7:30am-5pm)
I have been a primary school teacher since January 2018 and have changed career to become an Ofsted registered childminder. I have always loved the early years education and have taught in all primary key stages. I believe that early education is important and a holistic approach to learning in key. Children's early experiences provide a foundation for all future learning and development.
βΉοΈπ΄β SHAPE PLAY βπ΄βΉοΈ
'Stand on the...'.
'What should I jump on?'
'Let find more squares'! Etc...
So much more you can do with just a few shapes!
ππ³ FOLLOW THEIR LEAD ππ³
Started by gardening and then mud pits became the conversation! YES! π
After spooning, squishing, tapping and wiggling soil, then accidently finding an empty shell and working out that hand soap looks like trails... TA DA... The snail and his trail on the mud castle π°
Linking to one of our favourite stories 'Snail and the Whale' by Julia Donaldson.
π FOOD FOR FUN π
Role play, sensory play, practice with utensils and sharing. (And of course, helping to feed the adults in the room!) So much kindness and helpfulness β€οΈ
β RAINY SPRING HUNT β
Today we went out hunting for signs of spring (in the rain of course)! AND with perks that come along with the wet weather ... PUDDLES! Splashing, plopping stones and making 'rock' friends that tell you which direction to go.
π Celebrating St Patrick's Day π
A wonderful day with Cheeky Monkeys
Tasting the color green, making and learning about the Shamrock and sensory role play with the Irish colours.
π Some daily routine βοΈ
Planting, water, feeding the bird and more exploring with water π
π OUTSIDE IN THE SUN π
Collecting stones and plopping them in water.
Gasps and giggles every time π²π€
π©βπ³ COOKING π©βπ³
So much fun making these banana and peanut butter mini biscuits! Cutting, spooning, rolling, pressing, tasting and munching once cooked of course. Recipe from on Instagram.
βΊοΈ CONCENTRATION STATION βΊοΈ
So much time spent copying the cover of their favourite book. Talking about what we see, how we can draw something, reading the story and deciding which colours to use. Such beautiful work π
π Let get outsideπ
This morning was such lovely weather! Feeding, exploring, playing. Just enjoy life π
π EXPLORING π
A box can have so many uses and can provide so much entertainment! I wonder what she will choose to do with it next π€
π ALWAYS BUSY π
Chatting away, playing, learning and loving life.
πPIZZA MAKING π
Such an enthusiastic cook! Patting, rolling, scooping, spreading, placing and more. Even the soapy sponge is so exciting π
πEXPRESSIVE ARTS AND DESIGN π
Creating Christmas cards. Finger painting and felt tips. Such wonderful creations β¨
π SENSES π
Enjoying the fresh air and spending our time outside during lunch today. Tasting new foods and enjoying the foods we love. Listening to the birds in the sky, the ambulance vehicles go by and dogs barking.
πPLANS CHANGEπ
When you plan to go to soft play but spend half a hour walking around saying hello to all the animals in the garden centre. Learning to 'be gentle', say 'hello' and wave. Make as many animal sounds as we can!! And just have a chat about them. So much curiosity ππ
π’YOUNG GARDENER π’
Exploring textures and tools, digging, scooping, learning and saying new vocabulary, finding and counting the holes in the bottom of the pots and enjoying the fresh air!
