The RLSS have published some fantastic resources aimed at children to help them understand how to recognised risks, understand what to do to minimise the chance of an accident and how to respond in an emergency situation ⬇️

Lifeguards are a huge part of water safety education. The RLSS also offer a a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. This is the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the UK and Ireland and is also internationally recognised. More that 46,000 pool lifeguards qualify with the RLSS UK every year.

Following the tragic news about three children losing their lives in Solihull over the weekend the Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK is reminding people what to do if you get into trouble - or see someone else having difficulties.
They have lots of detailed safety information on their website which will help keep you safe during the winter.
The key things to remember are:
🔴 Never go onto the ice to play, to retrieve an object, or a pet
🔴 Never enter the ice to rescue somebody
🔴 Call 999 and ask for the Fire and Rescue Service
