We have had a change of menu and scenery today and all eaten outside together on picnic blankets.
Everyone has enjoyed being together outside 🧺

⭐New Virtual Drop in Sessions⭐

We are now holding monthly virtual drop in sessions for parents, carers and young people, where we will answer questions, give advice and information about Special Educational Needs, Law and processes here in North Yorkshire.

As the weather gets warmer we will need to start using suncream.
Below is the suncream we will be using at nursery.
If you would prefer us to use your own suncream then please provide us with a named bottle.
Can you also provide your child with a named sun hat 👒

Concept photography will be at nursery Thursday 25th from 9:30 to take photos of our school leavers.
If you don’t normally attend on a Thursday then pop in through the morning.

We have had lots of royal activities going on this week.
Today we have decorated our nursery before sitting down to our coronation tea party 🇬🇧

Today we say goodbye to Louise!
Louise has worked at nursery for 12 years!
She now goes on to her exciting new career change.
Thank you Louise for all the care you have given over the years and good luck ❤️

This morning we have found lots of toys that are red, white and blue to make up a Union Jack 🇬🇧

Huge thank you to Selby community fridge for the kind donation of baby food items.
If any families need anything then please call in and help yourselves ❤️

Preparation is well underway for the Kings coronation 👑
The children have really enjoyed making bunting for our party next week 🇬🇧

This week we are talking about colours!

Today we did a purple tray and asked the children to look around the room and find things that are purple!

This activity then started a discussion about shapes and what shapes we can see in nursery.

20 Fun and Easy At-Home Easter Activities for Kids most can be made with items you probably already have around the house!

I’m thinking about having a regular baby group at nursery on Monday mornings.

Would anyone be interested?

The lady runs a popular baby group locally and would be happy to start a group at Abbey place nursery.

The class would be £6 each for an hour session.
If your baby already attends on a Monday then the class would be included.

The class is very sensory and includes easy and accessible treasure baskets or containers with various different items inside.
Please let me know if there is any interest.

This is also open to parents who aren’t registered with the nursery.
Limited spaces are allocated on a first come first served basis.

Not long to go now and it will be Easter 🐣(chocolate egg time!)🍫.

🤓Did you know Mini Eggs carry a warning of not suitable for under 4s on their packaging? Mini Eggs are just the right size to block a young child’s airway.

❗️If you are giving them to young children it’s best to break them into smaller pieces. This may reduce the risk of choking but the harder parts can still be problematic. The best solution is you eat them! 🕺
