We can't wait to welcome Esme to this Sunday Session. Esme is a beautiful singer and we just know you're going to love her fabulous renditions of some well known songs.

Whilst we always keep our performers fed and watered, Esme is playing this set on a 'play for pay' basis so please show her your appreciation. The artist keeps 100% of your contributions or payments for and CD's she may have for sale.

Entry to the Sunday Sessions at The Players Lounge is free on a first come, first served basis. The venue hosts around 20 people. No booking is required but you can book a table if you wish. There is a nominal £0.01 per person charge for booking online (no way around that one!) but you can book for free by contacting the York store on 01904 862164.

If booking a table, all we ask is that you please ensure you are at your table prior to the start of the session as it would be unfair on the artist to hold tables open beyond the start. We cannot hold tables beyond the start time.

Join us in The Players Lounge at our York store from 6.30pm for an evening of live jazz featuring the fabulous Yolanda Parkes on saxophone. Yolanda is returning to The Players Lounge to perform a range of jazz classics that are sure to delight and entertain.

Ticket price (per person) includes two 45 minute sets from Yolanda, a glass of house champagne on arrival and a sharing board plus 20% off all in-store purchases made on the night.

Our full food and drink menu is also available. Please indicate when booking if vegetarian or gluten free options are required and if there are any food allergies or intolerances we need to be aware of.

We're delighted to announce that fabulous Luka Watabe will be performing at one of our in The Players Lounge on 7/4/24 from 3pm. Our Sunday sessions are free to enter with 100% of audience contributions going to the artist.

We are also delighted to announce that Luka has agreed to take on the role of our 'artist in residence' and will perform at our monthly ticketed 'Last Saturday Live' events between now and Christmas, sometimes singing solo and others with a backing musician. Guitarist Rob Turnbull is our next artist appearing in the Sunday Sessions series in The Players Lounge. Back in the day, Rob used to play with a band called Matt Vinyl & The Decorators. He will be playing a set of classic covers in aid of Motor Neurone Disease so please come along and support him and this worthy cause. Sunday 24th March from 2.00pm.

Are you (or do you know) an aspiring musician or singer looking for a free venue to showcase your talent? If so, contact Brian at The Luxe Company as we are starting to put together a series of spotlight sessions in our Players Lounge at 40 Coney Street, York. There will be two 45-minute open sessions available each Sunday afternoon from 2pm & 3pm in which to show the world what you can do. Think of it like an open mike night at a comedy club - it's your chance to shine! The venue is free to you and any donations made to you by the audience are yours to keep (busking, but indoors!). We simply provide the venue, promote your session (though it helps if you do so as well!) and provide hospitality to our customers/your audience. Come and give it a go!
