Today we've been meeting some of our GCSE students to celebrate their achievements - large or small - and to help them to work out their next steps. Melaina is one of them... she's been studying with us for three years now, and is a walking example of the power of perseverance! Have a listen to how she worked her way up from a 2 to a 4 in maths, and what it means to her. Enrolments for GCSE English and maths are open now - find out more at https://l.yorklearning.org.uk/GCSE. Spaces are limited though, so don't leave it too long!

Shortly before the end of term we visited the Ballet for All class at York High School, York, UK to find out why they keep coming back. We could try to summarise it here, but we thought it would be better if you heard it directly from them! Ballet For All with North Yorkshire Dance Academy returns on Monday 16 September, 6:15pm - 7:10pm and costs £80. Find out more and book online at https://l.yorklearning.org.uk/BT1-ND1.

Tap Dance
We couldn't resist sharing this video from the last week of last term's tap dancing class - congratulations to everyone who took part! Many of these dancers have only been learning for one or two terms... do you fancy joining them? Here are three things these dancers wanted you to know: 1. You don't have to be a prima ballerina - just willing to have fun! 2. You don't need any fancy clothes... when these learners are not in their sparkly costumes, they're often in jeans and a tshirt. 3. However you're feeling when you arrive, you'll leave feeling energised by the music, the dancing and the joy of learning something fun with like minded people. See you there? Find out more and book online at https://l.yorklearning.org.uk/BT1MZ6.
