World Breast Feeding Week 2021 -

It’s worth the read for something special at the end.

Sharing photos of something so special and intimate can make even the most confident public feeder feel anxious. But let us ask ourselves why ?

I was able to breastfed my youngest this time round . I was determined to feed him this time as I was not able to breastfeed my eldest for various reasons.

But it didn’t come without It’s struggles and days where i wanted to give up and go full time formula.
We ended up going mostly 80% breastfeeding and 20% formula (combine feeding ) this was due to my husband being away 2 months after birth and I was struggling with a shallow latch baby and red raw ni***es . Giving a bottle gave me and my b***s a break until we got into a better place and went Exclusively Breastfeeding for a while.

I was lucky to be supported by my loved ones , especially my sister who helped as best she could during a pandemic giving me feeding support where in person breastfeeding support stopped .

why does it slightly scare me to share on such a public platform?

Because the world sadly doesn’t see this as the norm. And I will do my best in changing that, raising my children to share with others,the importance of breastfeeding .

I will also hopefully become a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter later on this year .

Today we held our first mini stall 🎉

Today I attended the opening of the first FAB (Families and Babies ) Catterick Garrison group.

This group is run for service personnel and families by an amazing Serving peer supporter Mama so this is something very close to my heart.

Being Ex regular, Army wife and now an Army reservist being able to have access to a qualified breastfeeding peer supporter when I was feeding would of been amazing .

Having someone who can provide evidenced based information enabling families to make informed infant feeding choices; ensuring effective support is available is amazing. Military families move a lot so to be able to have this will definitely make them feel supported even more so .

There was no judgment at this group , and everyone is welcome from breastfeeding, combination feeding or bottle feeding families.

It was brilliant to be able to take our items and be able to recommend what would suit them and their individual journeys.

No two babies are the same , so I always want to make sure I have something that will suit everyone.

It’s been a busy week here.

I’ve been asked to attend a new Bumps ,babies and b***s group that’s opening up on Wednesday.

This is one of the times where my packaging is not 100% Eco (I’m working on better packaging) .

Everything I post out from here gets washed and UV sterilised , and with Covid still out there I want to ensure that everything I take with me to the group remains that way .

I now have beautiful backing cards , with safety info on the back in sealed pouches .

This way I can be happy everything remains clean on the day and I can easily spray and wipe down the bags if they have been touched .

We have also given our card reader a test run , as well as our PayPal QR codes to avoid handling money .

We still have more to make up and pack this week as I have no doubt these will go down a storm .

We might be easing on restrictions but ill still be wearing my mask in confined spaces and busy areas .

I had to pop it on and snap a pic to send over to this lovely when playing about with ideas , as flat lays did it no justice.

The mustard, cream and copper works beautifully with the metal spacers and giraffe beads as it’s keeps it earthy and warm .

This mama has definitely got me thinking of adding this design/style to the website .

This mama wanted something with camo / army colours on and boy does this look fab.

Not only did we play with these dark and Earthy tones , we used our 15mm beads and large hexagons to give it a bit of quirkiness.

The Variation in the size and shapes is fantastic for development .

I had so much fun making this and love how it looks on .
