Siddhidatri โค๏ธ
โข Siddhidatri has supernatural healing powers.
โข She has four arms and she is always in a blissful happy enchanting pose.
โข She rides on the lion as her vehicle.
โข She blesses all Gods, saints, yogis, tantrics and all devotees as a manifestation of the Mother Goddess.
โข She is the possessor of 26
different wishes (Siddhis) which she grants her worshipers.
โข The legend has it that the Lord Shiva got all those Siddhis by worshipping Maa Shakti.

Navratri Series โจ Day 8 ๐ซ
Maha Gauri โค๏ธ
โข Goddess Maha Gauri is eighth form of Devi Durga and one of the graceful Goddesses among the navadurgas.
โข Her beauty glows like gleam of white Pearl.
โข She denotes peace and endurance.
โข She is represented with four arms seated on a Vrishabha (bull).
โข Her upper left hand holds Trishul (trident), lower right hand carries Damru (hand drum) and other two hands are in different Mudras (positions).
โข She cleans dregs from heart of her worshippers.

Kalaratri โค๏ธ
โข She has a dark complexion, and a fearlessness posture.
โข Her large red eyes, open red tongue, and sobre on hand violently demolish devils and monsters.
โข She is also glorified with name 'Kali Maa'.
โข Devi Kalaratri has three round eyes, and scattered long black hair.
โข She wears a bead that gleams like fire of electric power.
โข Durga manifested herself as completely destroy the dirt and demons from existence.
โข She is revered with name Kalratri, because she represents herself as a death of Kaal appeared like a dark night for demons.

Katyayani โค๏ธ
โข The sixth day is dedicated to the Goddess Katyayani.
โข This is the second name given for Parvati in Amarakosha.
โข The legend behind her name also goes thus: She was born in the Katya lineage originating from Vish-wamitra, thus called Katyayani, "Daughter of Katyayana".
โข Maa Katyayani has 3 eyes and 4 hands.
โข She holds a sword in her one left hand and a lotus in another.
โข The other 2 hands respectively show protection and Vara mudras.
โข Her skin appears golden in color.
โข Her mount is a lion.

Skandamata โค๏ธ
โข The fifth day is dedicated to the Goddess Skand Mata, the mother of 'Skanda' or Lord 'Kartikeya', who was chosen by Gods as their commander in chief in the war against the demons.
โข Maa Skandmata is portrayed holding
Lord Skanda in his infant form.
โข She is a symbol of the mother-son relationship.
โข She has four arms, holding lotus flower in two arms, three eyes and a bright complexion.
โข One attains supreme joy even in this very mortal world.

Kushmanda โค๏ธ
โข Kushmanda is the fourth form of the mother goddess, and her name means "creator of the universe," for she is the one who brought light to the dark cosmos.
โข Like other manifestations of Durga, Kushmanda has multiple limbs (usually eight or 10), in which she holds weapons, glitter, a rosary, and other holy objects.
โข The glitter is particularly significant because it represents the sparkling light that she brings to the world.
โข Kushmanda rides a lion, symbolizing strength and courage in the face of adversity.

โข Chandraghanta' worshipped for peace, tranquility and prosperity in life.
โข She has a 'chandra' or half moon in her forehead in the shape of a 'ghanta' or bell.
โข She is charming, has a golden bright complexion and rides a lion.
โข She has ten hands, three eyes and holds weapons in her hands.
โข She is the apostle of bravery and possesses great strength to fight in the battle against demons.

Brahmacharini โค๏ธ
โข On the second day of Navaratri, Hindus worship Brahmacharini, whose name means "one who practices devout austerity."
โข She enlightens us in the magnificent embodiment of Durga with great powers and divine grace.
โข Brahmacharini holds a rosary in her right hand, representing the special Hindu prayers recited in her honor, and a water utensil in her left hand, symbolizing marital bliss.
โข Hindus believe she endows happiness, peace, prosperity, and grace upon all devotees who worship her.
โข She is the way to emancipation, called
Moksha.

Shailputri โค๏ธ
โข Navaratri begins with a night of worship and celebration in honor of Durga's avatar Shailaputri, whose name means "daughter of the mountains."
โข Also known as Sati Bhavani, Parvati, or Hemavati, she is the daughter of Hemavana, the king of the Himalayas.
โข Shailaputri is considered to be the purest embodiment of Durga and the mother of nature.
โข In iconography, she is depicted riding a bull and holding a trident and a lotus blossom.
โข The lotus represents purity and devotion, while the prongs on the trident represent the past, present, and future.
