✅ საერთაშორისო კონფერენციის მიზანია, განიხილოს და ერთიან კონცეფციად ჩამოაყალიბოს ადგილობრივ და უცხოელ სპეციალისტთა ნააზრევი მეორე ენის სწავლების მიდგომებისა და სტრატეგიების თაობაზე მულტილინგვური განათლების კონტექსტში.

23.01.2023 - საქართველოს პარლამენტის წევრი ქალ. მარიამ ლაშხი Erasmus+ პროგრამის ჩარჩოებში დაფინანსებული HERD Project-ის შესახებ ინფორმაციას გაეცნო. საქართველის პარლამენტის განათლების და მეცნიერების კომიტეტი გაზაფხულზე განიხილავს საკითხს მეცნიერების მართვის და არსებული ბაზების შესახებ.

📌📌📌 შეხვედრა ჩატარდა ჰიბრიდულ რეჟიმში და მასში მონაწილეობა მიიღეს HERD კონსორციუმის წევრებმა, ასევე საქართველოს განათლებისა და მეცნიერების სამინისტროს მეცნიერების განვითარების დეპარტამენტის უფროსმა, ბატონმა ზაზა მარუაშვილმა.
დისტანციურ რეჟიმში ჩაერთო Vidatum-ის ხელმძღვანელი, რომელმაც უპასუხა დამსწრეთა შეკითხვებს. შეხვედრაზე კიდევ ერთხელ გაჟღერდა აზრი, რომ პარტნიორი უნივერსიტეტების აქტიურობა და მხარდაჭერა პროექტის შედეგების მდგრადობის გარანტიაა.

🎯On 24-25th of June Batumi S***a Rustaveli State University together with GIPA – Georgian Institute of Public Affairs hosted the Erasmus+ KA2 HERD - Raising Research Capacity of Georgian HEIs through Developing R&D Units project capstone conference and final event.
👉Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia - Deputy Minister, Dr. Nunu Mitskevich, Deputy Head of Higher Education Development Department, Mr. Zaza Maruashvili, and Deputy Director of Rustaveli National Science Foundation, Mr. Erekle Astakhishvili took part in the capstone conference.

👉დღეს დასრულდა HERD-ის წარმომადგენლების ერთკვირიანი ვიზიტი დრეზდენის ტექნიკურცუნივერსიტეტში (TUD), რომელიც პროექტის ერთ-ერთი საერთაშორისო პარტნიორია.
👉დრეზდენის ტექნიკური უნივერსიტეტი, რომელიც გერმანიის 10 წამყვან უნივერსიტეტს შორისაა, პროექტში ჩართულია კვლევითი მიმართულებების დაგეგმვისა და მენეჯმენტის უზრუნველყოფის კუთხით.
🎯ვიზიტს უშუალოდ მასპინძლობდა დრეზდენის ტექნიკური უნივერსიტეტის ევროპული პროექტების ცენტრი (EPC).
👉ვიზიტის ფარგლებში,HERD-ის პროექტის 12 პარტნიორი უნივერსიტეტის წარმომადგენელსა და საქართველოს განათლების და მეცნიერების სამინისტროს უმაღლესი განათლების განვითარების დეპარტამენტის უფროსის მოადგილეს - ბატონ ზაზა მარუაშვილს შესაძლებლობა ჰქონდათ ადგილზე გაცნობოდნენ უნივერსიტეტთაშორისი თანამშრომლობის პრაქტიკებსა და გამოცდილებებს სამეცნიერო კვლევითი მიმართულებების მართვის თვალსაზრისით. ეს უკანასკნელი დრეზდენის კონცეფციის სახელითაა ცნობილი და საქართველოში კვლევისა და განვითარების მიმართულების შემდგომი განვითარების ორიენტირად განიხილება. ვიზიტის ფარგლებში დაიგეგმა ჰერდ-ის პროექტის შედეგების მდგრადობის შენარჩუნებისა და ერთიანი ნაციონალური სამეცნიერო პორტალის უნიფიცირებაზე მიმართული აქტივობებიც.
A week-long visit by HERD representative to TU Dresden, one of the project's international partners, ended today.
The Technical University of Dresden, among the top 10 universities in Germany, is involved in the project in terms of planning and management of research directions.
🎯The visit was hosted by the Center for European Projects (EPC).
During the visit, representatives from 12 partner universities of the Herd project and Mr. Zaza Maruashvili, Deputy Head of the Higher Education Development Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, had the opportunity to learn about inter-university cooperation practices and experiences in managing scientific research. The latter is known as the Dresden Concept and is considered a focus for further research and development in Georgia. During the visit, activities aimed at maintaining the sustainability of the results of the HERD project and the unification of the Unified National Science Portal were also planned.

🔻Ivane Javakhishvili State University of Tbilisi hosted a presentation of the project HERD - "Promoting the Development of Scientific Research in Georgian Higher Education Institutions" funded by the European Union within the framework of Erasmus + KA2.
👉The presentation of the project was held by TSU Rector Giorgi Sharvashidze, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Nunu Mitskevich, Director of Rustaveli National Scientific Foundation Jaba Samushia, Deputy Rector of TSU and Project Manager Nino Okribelashvili, Deputy Rector of TSU Nino Gvene Tadze. Scientists involved in the project were present as well.
📃At the meeting, Giorgi Sharvashidze and Nino Okribelashvili gave signs of gratitude to the scientists involved in the project.
👉The project, in which 12 Georgian universities are involved, is led by Ivane Javakhishvili State University of Tbilisi.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dr. Nunu Mitskevich responded to the project prolongation and addressed the letter to the Rectors of the partner universities:
“The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, guided by the principle of Open Science, supports the implementation of the HERD project in order to bring together the relevant resources at the institutional level in a single space.
Accordingly, we appeal to you to ensure the maximum involvement of the academic and administrative staff of your higher education institution in the creation of this database in order to be able to achieve the goal set by the project in a timely manner".

Project aims to respond to major objectives of Georgian R&D strategy defined by the government’s four-point development plan including education reform and creation of knowledge-based society; to strategic development plan of the Ministry of Education and Science [MES] on quality enhancement of education, research, raising innovation potential, capacity building on tech-transfer via strengthening university-industry relations, and internationalization; and to new standards of National Center for Education Quality Enhancement demanding the evidence-based policy for R&D and strategic development plans for research at HEIs.
The proposed project aims to upgrade the research capacity of Georgian universities through developing the R&D units within the target universities. In order to achieve this aim, the following objectives are set:
1. Establish a joint research platform that would facilitate the planning, implementation and evaluation of research activities in the target universities. For this purpose, a special software will be purchased that will assist the universities in grant management, project management, research development, track key performance indicators, such as publications, patents, conferences, etc.
2. Create an Online Georgian Resarch Portal that will display the state-of-the art information on the activities, human resources and infrastructure of the academic institutions in Georgia. This will support the inter- and intra- university collaboration and the utilization of scarce human and infrastructural resources in the country. The portal will serve nationally and internationaly as a chanel for latest research news, accumulating all public information on R&D instiutions, research projects, people activie in science, enabling search for a publication by the authors’name, search word, publication type, projects person is included in, authors’ CV, conncected to R&D insitutions and dissemination of operative information on R&D in Georgia.
3. Upgrade the research management and data analysis skills of university administrative personnel for producing high quality research management, analyzing institutional research data and providing ground for further forecasting and strategic planning. This will be achieved through series of trainings (R&D Seasonal School and site visits) provided by the representatives of the EU partner universities. The trainings will also include the utilization and usage of the research management software mentioned under the first objective.
4. Enhance the capacity of the target universities in respect to research transfer and university-industry collaboration. This objective will be achieved through series of workshops and trainings (Tech Transfer Seminar and site visits) for the university personnel concerning the research transfer, establishment of R&I spin-offs and carve-outs at the target HEIs.
