Lovely preview event of the Fox Arts Competition exhibition at George Crossan Gallery. Felt very privileged that my ‘Nerines’ was one of the 28 exhibits selected by the judge from many entries. Flying the flag for Guernsey 🇬🇬
I’ll be on the GCFEO (Guernsey Caring for Ex Offenders) stall at this Christmas Fayre. I’ll also have some of my resin hair slides, scrunchie hairslides and resin gifts - all great Christmas gift ideas and stocking fillers.
Love a quote I just heard from one of the contestants on Sky’s Portrait Artist of the Year - “art is showing off for introverts” 🤣
So happy to be taking part in Guernsey Arts Open Exhibition, running until 10th November in the George Crossan Gallery
Channeling my inner Renoir ‘Inspired by Renoir’ workshop with visiting artist Sarah Charneca. Great fun and everyone did really well. Here are my 2 pictures - roses and Moulin Huet Bay
Very pleased to hear today that my painting ‘Nerines’ has been accepted into the Fox Art Competition 2023. 3rd time lucky 🤣

A windy and dull Saturday, after a hot and sunny Friday, for Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club ‘En Plein Air’ competition. I chose this amazing view from Jerbourg and won 2nd prize 😁🎉

Great results from my beginners cold wax and oil workshops this afternoon and yesterday afternoon. Messy but fun - well done everyone 🥰

Thank you Jennie Gaywood for a terrific workshop looking at negative space. I loved working with watercolour again and trying out the blocking out to help with composition.
Excellent opening night last night for Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club summer exhibition in the main hall at Blanchelande College. I sold 2 of my paintings too. Very excited to see all the red dots on sold items. The exhibition is now open from every day 10am to 4:30pm until Sunday 15th August when it will close at 3pm
I’ve been busy needle felting animals while staffing the OSA pop up shop in Smith Street this week for our GCFEO (Guernsey Caring for Ex Offenders) craft sale. The robins, hedgehog and grey mouse have all gone to new homes. There are still seals, dog, mice and penguins available until 4pm on Saturday, when our week ends. I am donating a percentage to GCFEO and there are lots of fantastic crafts made in our GCFEO workshops available too.
Incredibly thrilled to receive the Sir Haviland de Saumarez Cup for General Excellence in Senior Art at this year’s Guernsey Eisteddfod. Here are the paintings I entered.
Spent the day painting for ‘Plein Air’ competition. Some rain but mainly dry and I sheltered under a tree. Chose my spot and managed to get the gorgeous mosaic goat in there too
An abstract one this time. ‘Amazing Grace’.
Finished my painting of Bluebell Wood in Guernsey, Channel Islands
‘Stormy seas off Lihou’ Just finished this today. Memories of watching the waves last November on one of our weekends on Lihou
One of my Guernsey sea paintings coming along nicely. Almost finished.
16 members of Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club embraced my cold wax medium and oil paints workshop with gusto and enthusiasm and I am blown away by what they achieved in just 2 days. We started with the experimental pieces on a sheet of paper divided in 4, then went on to use those techniques in our own way.
