Arc-en-Verre
Fused glass art inspired by nature.
Great to see these bubble panels installed π₯°3 are above a hot tub in my sister in laws garden and another in their amazing Airbnb The Cosy Corner
Itβs been a long time away from making as I still havenβt found a workspace in Guernsey but Iβm hopeful something will turn up soon.
We all need our accounts in order (artists included π) and in my opinion there's no one better to take care of it all than my husband.
Check out his website and give him a call, he's very friendly π
I finally found time to finish the website www.neptune.co.gg
Have a look, see what you think!
It's snowdrop season again! Make sure you book a ticket for this spectacular event. Plenty of hanging birds available in the gift shop on your way out π
2023 has been a really tough year for our family with a huge amount of stress and many challenges. Since May we have moved house 3 times and I've had 5 different scans which we found out at the end of November were all clear π₯³
However, I'm sitting in our new home in Guernsey, which we all love, and I'm feeling very grateful for that, and for all our friends and family that helped us get to this point.
I'm hopeful that next year will be a peaceful one with lots of glass making π
Happy New Year! x x x

Do you have space in a garage or outbuilding for a glass kiln, or know of someone who has?
Our house contents arrive next Tuesday and my big kiln won't fit through the door of the storage we have.
It's 125cm long, 81cm wide and 110cm tall.
Good access required so the removal lorry can get close as it weighs 110kg π
I'm still looking for a suitable place to work and would prefer not to move the kiln multiple times!
Willing to clear an outbuilding and will pay for electricity used. Preferably near Forest, Torteval, St Peters etc..
You never know! π Send me a message if you can help, thanks xx
I can't wait for my kilns to arrive (along with the rest of my studio) so I can get back to work.
Meanwhile I'm sketching new birds to add to my range, sea swimming and cliff walking with Poppy our lovely Bordoodle.
I feel very grateful to be here even though our move continues to be so stressful. I have made a wish at the fairy ring so I'm hoping they'll do their thing ππ
In the meantime I have with me these super sparkly dichroic glass stud earrings.
They are Β£18 a pair and available to buy from my website:

I'm so pleased that Wink Jewellery are selling my birds in their beautiful art gallery downstairs.
There are a limited number of plant pot birds and hanging birds until my kilns arrive.
Don't wait too long to pop in and see them as they may fly out quickly π
We made it to Guernsey and it's still as beautiful as ever.
We've only been here a week, our youngest has started at his new school, Poppy is loving her new cliff walks and the cats are desperate to go out- but are not yet allowed.
Right now I'm looking into finding a place to make my glasswork when all our belongings arrive.
Mainly I'm recovering from the move and our ongoing house sale/purchase dramas.
It's not a bad place to recover ππ
We're moving in 11 days and I'm making as many birds as possible!
This oystercatcher is a new design with a copper beak. I'll be making more seabirds when we're back on the island but for now there is just this one available to buy for Β£28.
Postage in the UK Β£3.50 or I can pack him and bring to Guernsey.
If you'd like him send me a message π
New bird...the cute little Goldcrest which, fun fact, is the smallest bird in the UK.
You can order him, and his feathered friends, through my website for Β£18 each.

NEWS! Yes the moving boxes are out (for the last time I hope π)
We are moving back to Guernsey for many reasons, but mainly because it is our home and we miss it.
What does this mean for my little business? Well, I hope to be able to find somewhere to work and carry on π
I have lots of lovely customers on the island and a head full of ideas-workshops, a little shop maybe?
If you know of anywhere that might suit, please send me a message.
We'll be moving at the end of May so there's a lot to do-eek! x

Arc-en-Verre β Beautiful fused glass art by Louise Waterman Arc-en-Verre I have always loved making things and wanted to be an artist when I grew up. I also wanted to travel the world in a campervan! I have travelled a bit (but not in a van) and lived in Guernsey and France. Now I live in the beautiful Cotswolds with my family and work with fused glass. Ther...

I'm back in the studio working on a new snowdrop range for Rococo Gardens. These are going to be tea light holders and I'll show you the finished product later this week.
The studio will be open again on Jan 3rd 2023.
Wishing you all a peaceful Christmas x x
I've really enjoyed the snow this week and with a week to go before Christmas, it certainly feels very festive. Collection still available from my studio, just send me a message if you want to drop in.
It's my final weekend of Christmas fairs and the studio is a bit chaotic π
I'll be at Made in Chalford all weekend in the curated shop and at Tetbury Goods Shed tomorrow from 10-5pm. Plenty of Christmas tree tea light holders, decorations, cards, earrings and my garden bird range. Hope to see you there x x
You can find my glasswork at this event in the curated shop π
It was a wonderful ten days, so lovely to see so many people supporting this event. Thank you so much to Amberley Artisans for inviting me to be part of it.
And thatβs a wrap! We had an excellent last day at our Christmas Market, with lots of you coming through the doors. One customer was on her third visit! Thank you SO MUCH for all of you who supported us. It looks like it was a really good year, which gives us hope that many people are switching to buying local and from smaller businesses. We are very very grateful, for your custom and also for being such a friendly bunch, chatting to our Artisans at the till and recommending us to friends.
The biggest thanks of all goes to Nicki and the whole team at for providing the fabulous venue once again. Three Storeys is such a good place to visit, with the cafe and gallery being a very welcoming place to spend time. There are two more exhibitions there this side of Christmas so do give them a follow or pop by if you can.
Wishing our followers a very Happy Christmas when it comes, and thank you once again. The Amberley Artisans.
