Phototoasty
PhotoToasty aka Chris Tostevin-Hall LRPS CPAGB AFIAP is a photographer based in Guernsey.
My first SLR Camera was a Zenith EM. It came with a Helios 44-M 58mm f/2 lens. The Helios 44 were Russian copies of the Carl Zeiss Jena 58mm f/2 Biotar and were manufactured in vast numbers over several decades. I thought it would be fun to adapt this lens to my Fuji GFX 100s - it was! These vintage lenses have a wonderful character, not clinically sharp especially wide open, but they allow for the creation of some beautiful images. Here are a few from the garden this evening. Enjoy!
A few orchid meadow shots - Les Vicheries, Guernsey.
Some photos taken last weekend in Cambridge.
Feeling pretty chuffed with my success in this year's Guernsey Eisteddfod. 2 Commended, 3 Merits, 1 Honours and a Class Winner. Our Judge Ann McDonald ARPS, DPAGB, EFIAP/p really loved the portrait of Jack.
November moods at Petit Port.
Pre-Uni Portraits. A friend wanted to have some portraits of his daughter Ellie, before she embarks on the next chapter of her life at Manchester Uni. The brief was "Edgy"... this is what I came up with. The thundery skies helped.
A quick visit to Port Soif this afternoon.
