This is why we have to have a pad-a-thon. The issue are real! The reality are tangible! Handkerchiefs as pads? Toilet rolls as pads? Something can be done about it and it has to be done now. We need you the individuals, charities, benevolent groups, organisations, companies etc to support … every girl and woman deserves the best lord to manage their **es

Happy menstrual hygiene day
This is how we marked it. 100 girls for 600 reusable pads
Well this is what we do best…. giving hope to girls about their period dignity. This is how we celebrated Menstrual Hygiene Day!!
This May we had a blast in in the Shai-Osudoku District. We had 600 clothpad and 30 menstrual cups for 100 girls. This we believe can last then 2-3 years
Amongst the guest was the District Education and Health Directors; Mrs Harriet Lomotey and Rev.Dr Ebenezer Assiamah. They gave a speech on why we need to celebrate this day to create more awareness and take the stigma and myth surrounding me**es away. They reiterated that me**es is part of us and we need to embrace it. There is a need to help girls more to keep them in school always.
We also had clinical psychologist, health personnel, dieticians, nutritionist and Counsellors from the district office and the Shai-Osudoku helping us to talk about everything about a woman’s body and social and health challenges surrounding it.
We did a demonstration on how to use and maintain the menstrual cups and clothpads. We had Naa Kwama, an expatriate musician who performed songs like to spice the festival up. The girls dance and had fun.
We couldn’t do without volunteers from in and out of who availed themselves to make this festival a success. We are grateful to all partners, donors and supporters who always help us reach more girls with pads, cups and education to girls who need it
