The Artisans Association of Ghana (AAG) is a craftsmanship Association made up of masons, carpenters, electricians, welders, plumbers, glass and metal fabricators, steel benders, Auto mechanics, plaster of Paris (POP), etc.
Lavan Innovation Hub, in collaboration with the Artisans Association of Ghana and sponsored by Alpha Communication and Health Foundation, successfully organized a two-day Training of Trainers session from Monday 24 to Tuesday 25 June 2024 for 55 master craftspersons at Royal Carboo Beach Hotel, Ningo Pram-pram. The training, led by Engr. Gideon Bidor, National President of the Artisans Association of Ghana, focused on Competency-Based Training delivery.
Over the two days, participants honed their skills in:

🔹 Managing difficult training situations
🔹 Initiating a personal plan of action to strengthen their training and facilitation skills

Exciting News from the Artisans Association of Ghana!
Today, June 18, 2024, our executives held a pivotal meeting with The Regional Maritime University (RMU) to discuss collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing the skills of our members. We're thrilled to announce plans for specialized training programs in key areas such as Industrial Welding, Industrial Pipe Fitting, Electricals, and Electronics, to name just a few.
This initiative is designed to equip both educated and uneducated artisans with the expertise needed to secure opportunities with international organizations, opening doors to global career prospects.
The Artisans Association of Ghana is committed to uplifting the lives of artisans across the nation, ensuring they receive the support and training necessary for a prosperous future.
Yesterday, May 16, 2024, the Artisans Association of Ghana (AAG) had a fruitful meeting with the Sector Skills Board of the construction sector, the Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry, and our esteemed international partners from Germany on the Global Skill Partnership project
Together, we mapped out the way forward for enhancing the skills of Ghana's labor force and exploring migration opportunities.
This collaboration aims to bring sustainable, replicable, transnational infrastructure for regular and fair training and skilled labor migration in the construction profession in Ghana. By elevating our workforce's skills to international standards, we're opening new doors for our talented workers both locally and globally.

🎓 Exciting News! 🎉 On the 27th April 2024, We celebrated the graduation of thousands of INVEST Sholatship participants out of which # 29 skilled heavy-duty machine operators and # 9 proficient electrical and solar installation technicians trained by AAG with support from WUSC through the Ghana Chambers of Construction Industries at Accra Technical Training College. Their dedication and expertise contribute immensely to shaping a brighter future. Congratulations to all the INVEST graduates!

Staff and Regional Executives of the Artisans Association of Ghana came together for a capacity strengthenining training session on Friday 29th March 2024 organized by our amazing volunteer, Yanick Neba from WUSC Ghana. on the theme: "Artisans Rights and Recognition: Advocating for fair trade practice and cultural preservation"

Skills Development Fund(GSDF) in partnership with Coast Technical University, Association of Ghana(AAG), and of Engineering and Technology (IET) provided the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training to the and Construction Craftsmen/Artisans in the Central Region.
The workshop took place at the John Kofi Borsah Library Complex of the Cape Coast Technical University.
The Ghana Skills Development Fund (GSDF) programme trained *101* Artisans from five (5) different fields namely; Carpenters, Plumbers, Mason/Tillers, Painters and Steel Benders mainly in the Cape Coast Metropolis for 6 weeks which ended on the 16 December.
The Artisans Association of Ghana(AAG) seeks to improve the welfare of the craftsmen and skilled workers in Ghana and partner with relevant stakeholders to build the capacity of the artisans.
Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) were present during the gathering to share their upcoming programs and opportunity for artisans in the construction sector.
