We are honoured to have launched the National Malaria Elimination Strategic Plan with help from the Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service.
Dr Anthony Nsiah Asare, the Presidential Advisor on Health was on hand to deliver the keynote address on behalf of the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, at the launch which was themed "Zero Malaria Starts Now - Launching Ghana's Path to Elimination"
Hon. Kwaku Agyeman Manu, Minister for Health; Dr Keziah L. Malm, Program Manager National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP); Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, Director – General Ghana Health Service (GHS); Dr Nana Yaw Peprah, Deputy Program Manager National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP) and Dr Sharmila Lareef, Country Representative World Health Organization (WHO) were all present to deliver their speeches highlighting some key points in the strategic plan and ways to join hands in eliminating malaria.

Earlier today, we had an entrance meeting with the Regional Director of Health Service - Mrs Charity Sarpong and Team Central Region.
This is in line with the Insecticide Treated Nets (ITN) Distribution exercise.

Our National Malaria Champion Oheneyere Gifty Anti had a productive interaction with the director of OB/GYN at the Accra Regional Hospital Dr Emmanuel Srofenyo. The discussion was to analyse the progress health professionals have made in the fight against and make projections for the future. So far, it has been a collective effort from all the front row workers. She also commended their amazing inputs and admonished them to go for gold.

Our National Malaria Champion, Oheneyere Gifty Anti, embarked on a hospital tour to commend healthcare providers for their impactful work in the fight against malaria. She emphasized the importance of their efforts and encouraged them to intensify their actions to eradicate malaria completely.
Additionally, she engaged with citizens and patients, stressing the significance of being vigilant about malaria prevention.
