The Leadership of Maths ICT Students Association wishes to inform its members about a design competition opportunity.

The Association wants to design *Certificates* to be used to award its members on its activities.

The Association is giving this opportunity to its members who have the skills and knowledge in Graphic Design to undertake this exercise.

A Committee has been Setup to receive all submitted designs.

Moderators with high skills have been put together to access all submitted designs.

The best design shall be adopted for use by the Association.

To participate in this competition work within the following framework

1. *Colours* : Maroon, Violet, white and black

2. *Logos* : College and Association logos

3. *Heading* : MATHS ICT STUDENTS ASSOCIATION Department of Mathematics and ICT Education, KOMENDA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

4. *Signature* : will be signed by HoD and Vice Principal

*Competition Framework*

1. *Opening* : Mon *day, April 25, 2022* at 6.00 am prompt

2. *Design Submission* : Submit only one design by a designer

3. *Size of Design* : Design must be in A4 size

4. *Eligibility* : Students of Department of Mathematics and ICT Education of Komenda College of Education.

*Levels 100, 200, 300* and *400* as at *April 25, 2022* .

*Must* have paid full dues on or before *Monday, April 25, 2022* *at 7.00 am prompt.*

5. *Closure of Competition* : Your design must reach the receiving contacts numbers on or before *Monday, 30th May 2022* at *5.30 pm* prompt.

A young boy was very dull and always performing poorly in school.

As a result, he earned the nickname dullard.

After some time, his parents got him a computer that had a lot of interactive programs.

This boy's teachers observed that he has began to improve in his class and they called him to ask him what had happened

He told his teachers that "I have a Computer at home that calls me intelligent ".

1. Is it that he was being called Dullard and Stupid in school that he was not improving?

2. Can we also say that saying positive things to our students enhances their performance?

3. How then do we help our students to reject such negative names, phrases and words?

4. Are these negatives to students also with parents and society?
