Highlights from our installation ceremony which happened on the 19th of June at Standard Heights.

Since 1988, Lions World Sight Day has raised awareness about the importance of eye health and the need for quality eye care services for all. On this special day of service, Lions clubs around the world conduct sight-related projects including: vision screenings, eyeglass donations, restorative surgeries, eye health education programs, and the donation of assistive devices to those with vision impairment.

Pregnancy is one factor that is known to influence the chances of a woman developing breast cancer. Women who become pregnant and have children at an early age have a decreased risk of developing breast cancer in later life; however, any pregnancy after age 30 increases the risk of breast cancer.

The longer a woman is exposed to cycling reproductive hormones the higher her risk of breast cancer. If she has an early menarche or a late menopause, or both, her risk of breast cancer is increased.
