THEME: _*HOW PREPARED ARE YOU TO MEET YOUR LORD?*_
SCRIPTURE READINGS: MATTEW 25 :21, Rev. 22:12, Rev. 2:4

The book of Matthew tells the parable of the three servants who were given talents according to their strength. Their master told them he is going and will be back. Two of them worked hard to multiply what they had received from their master but the other servant did nothing about it. The master came at the hour they knew nothing about, he rewarded them according to their works but the servant who did nothing about his talent was rebuked.
Peter was a disciple of Jesus Christ, but couldn't hold on to the love he had for Jesus Christ, but rather went back fishing for fishes instead of fishing for men as Jesus Christ told him, I will make you fishers of men. This tells us Peter's love for Jesus Christ had now depreciated.
Jesus Christ then asked Peter, do you love me for three consecutive times and Peter answered awfully. Jesus Christ now says he is coming to reward everyone according to his deeds or works. Every one's work would be rated by Jesus Christ to obtain a reward. What account are you going to render to your maker when he calls you today? Are you going to be rebuked as he did to bad servant?
The bible says; its appointed unto man to die once and after death, judgement. (Hebrews 9 :27). No one knows neither the day nor hour the son of man is coming. For Jesus Christ came to seek and save the lost. (Luke 19:10).
Open up and receive him into your heart and he will give you rest all who labour. Amen!!!! STAY BLESSED

*ATTEND TO THE WORD*

Proverbs 4:20-23 (NKJV) 20 My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. 23 Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.

For the next few days, we are going to look into these great verses. There is so much here, so let us get started.

Verse 20: “My son, give attention to my words.” God is telling us to give His Word first place in our heart. In the military, when an officer says “Attention!” the soldiers snap to it. That is how God want us to be with His Word.

The word attention means concentration, dedication, attentiveness, diligence, mindfulness, affection, and studiousness. It is a verb meaning to listen carefully, to pay attention, to give heed, and to obey. That is pretty good thing.

Our Father is telling us to give His Word our full attention, to dedicate ourselves to it, and to study it. Why is that? Well, as we will see later on in these verses, it brings health to our being.

In Hebrews 4:12 it says that the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

God’s Word is alive! It has power within it! Just as a seed will produce after its own kind, so God’s Word will produce after our Father’s kind.

So what do you need today? Do you need patience, or joy, or any other promise from the Word? Then get the promise from the Bible, attend to it, and watch the harvest come!

Confession: Today, I attend to the Word of God. It will produce an abundant harvest in my life!

THEME : PREPARING TO MEET YOUR LORD. SCRIPTURE READINGS: Mattew. 25:21, Hebrews 9:27.

Intro. song: Are you ready when the Lord shall come..

The parable according to Mattew tells us about three (3) servants who were given talents according to their strength and capabilities by their master. The master gave the first person five(5) talents and the second person he gave two(2) talents and the third person he gave one(1) talent. The master then departed after giving them the talents and on his return he called the three servants to give an account on the talents given to them. The first person was able to give good accounts, likewise the second person but third person was unable to give any account but rather, said to his master, you reap where have not sown and harvest where you have not gathered, so here is your talent. The master said to him, you bad and a wicked servant . This parable is also related to you and I. Jesus Christ has given us the mandate to live our lives according to the purpose of God. He has given each and everyone of us the number of years to live on earth and he will come back for us to account for our life lived on earth. In this case we are also like the three servants he gave talents to. Jesus Christ died for you and I on the cross of calvary, took our punishment and disgrace as well. He expects as to live according to the standards of God, by living a good moral and an upright life. We will give an account of how we lived our lives on earth. (Hebrews 9:27). Brethren lets not be deceived that after death nothing happens, for it will be a terrible on the day of judgement and what account are you going to give to your maker in heaven. Never forget you are a servant and have been given talents of which you are going to account for.
What I receive from the Lord is what I give to you. God bless you. Amen!!
