A few days ago we were lucky enough to capture the transit of a historic vessel.
The beautiful 3 master schooner Xarifa gloriously passed the Corinth Canal. Her 97 years of service nearly match the 131 years of the Canal.
It was a rare and unique experience for us to capture images of such a glorious sight.

Sailing was crucial to life for the first seafarers in the regions well inside the North Polar Circle.
They sailed for uncharted waters, in small wooden boats they made for themselves.
Big enough to carry 2 persons, with a tent to shelter one.
With no weather prediction, no nav aids, no communication, and no emergency services that could respond if the days passed and they did not return to their loved ones.
Their courage was crucial to support their families, and to help their communities grow on land covered by ice and snow for 9 months a year.

We created aerial Video using a drone, supplemented with footage from selected points by the entrance and exit.
Night operations at Corinth Canal.
Our clients' ship had a delayed departure, hence arrived at the East entrance after the sunset.
So, we took on the challenge of creating a nighttime drone video adapting to the circumstances.
The result came out quite impressive.
