Women's Equality Day is August 26 and commemorates the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution in 1920. This guaranteed women the right to vote, and MISD celebrates this day to inspire a greater appreciation of the importance of women's suffrage.

Our amazing cheerleaders and parents provided a delicious breakfast for our staff this morning. What a great start to the first week of school!
As you may have heard, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) released new guidance for the 2020-21 school year earlier this afternoon prior to a Commissioner call with all Texas superintendents. At this time, we do not have any decisions related to this new guidance. We continue to review the information, identify areas where we need to make recommendations, discuss with our county health officials, Board of Trustees and our Back to School Safely Task Force to make final decisions regarding this coming school year. Our top priority is the safety of your child and our entire MISD family.
With the COVID-19 information changing daily, we recognize that it is difficult to truly plan for the unknown during this time. Thank you for all of your patience as we continue to review this information and make the best decision possible.
It's almost time Bobcats!!!
Dieterich Middle School is coming together beautifully! We are excited to share with you the progress we have made this summer. Our bobcats will have a great educational home!
