Architects of the New World
Every Q***r person is a force of nature with immense talent and creativity inside.
From Comfort Zone to Adventure-Ready β¨
For years, I was stuck in the same old rut, convinced that there was no way out. I was chasing the dream everyone else was sold onβstacking up material possessions, driving nice cars, and decorating cute apartments. (I grew watching the Fab 5 afterall!) π‘π My life was filled with things, but I knew something was missing. No matter how much I accumulated, I couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness. I had all the material comforts, but I was far from truly living.
I remember one day, sitting in my cute desert inspired living room, looking around at all the stuff I had collected. It hit me like a ton of bricksβthere was a whole world outside and I wasnβt experiencing it. I realized I was living a life designed by societal norms, not by my own desires. That was my wake-up call. I said, "Screw it," and took that leap of faith. π₯
I sold it all. The car, the apartment, the cute decorβeverything. I decided from here on out I would trade things for experiences. I decided to invest in myself and my adventures. It was terrifying and exhilarating all at once. I bought a one-way ticket outta there and embarked on my journey to live a life full of adventure and meaning. πβοΈ
My first stop was Mexico. I remember landing and feeling a mix of excitement and fear. But as I started exploring, meeting new people, and immersing myself there, I felt more alive than ever. Every day was a new adventure, a new story to tell. I was no longer living for things; I was living for priceless memories.
That leap of faith was the best damn decision I ever made! π It opened up a world of possibilities I never knew existed. It wasn't always easy, but it was sure as hell worth it.
So, what about you? What's your biggest fear when it comes to breaking free from the norm? Is it the fear of the unknown? The comfort of the familiar? Whatever it is, let's tackle it head-on together! Drop a comment below and share your thoughts. πͺ
Remember, you weren't born to live by someone else's playbook. You were born to create your own epic story. Let's make it happen!
What do you do when you lose something you love? π
Grief is a rite of passage for all of us. We've all had incredible people, places, and experiences come to an end. πβ¨ It's heart-wrenching and opens our hearts in ways we never imagined. But grief also shows us what we truly love, because we don't grieve for things we don't deeply admire. So, what do you do when you lose something so dear to you? π
These moments are rare π but revealing, if we're willing to listen. For me, loss has taught me what I truly value in life and what is worth living for. It has opened up moments where I got to look clearly π and impersonally at the things I've created and ask, "What else needs to die here so that I can live more fully?" π±
My grief has transformed me into someone who no longer tolerates living by someone else's playbook. π By people, places, or things that I was taught would make me happy. π
When I got sober 7 years ago, I lost a huge part of myselfβfriends, ways of being, and values that no longer fit. π After a long while of staring in the mirror πͺ, I decided to travel. To live a life more full and abundant than any bar or club could ever promise. A new life is what my loss gave me, or should I say, what I gave myself. πβοΈ
We all have a choice when we lose something of great importance. I say, trade it for something else. π Give yourself a gift π so big that you'll live the rest of your life saying thank you, I am truly here to live. πβ¨
βDid you know?β
In English there are two main words for βMountain.β In Spanish there are over 20! β°
Mentally and linguistically Spanish natives see the world differently when it comes to this one word. They see more nuance and diversity when it comes to this natural element, whereas we initially understand mountains based more on itβs size than other features. π

πβ¨ The Profound Impact of Location on Who You Become β¨π
πͺ΄ Have you ever stopped to wonder how the places we inhabit can profoundly shape the essence of who we are? It's not merely about the geographical location on a map; it's about the culture, the people, and the unique energy that each location emanates.
π³ Growing up, I always believed my roots were deeply embedded in the soil of my hometown. It wasn't until I embarked on my digital nomad journey that I realized the extent to which location influences one's identity.
Here are just a few ways traveling will change you:
1. Your idea of what is beautiful expands π¦©
2. Your taste for different foods get richer π
3. Your compassion for what others go through becomes deeper π
4. Your habits, routines and daily activities shift π
5. You self-discovery through discovering the unknown accelerates π¨π»βπ€

There are many new initiations on the path to good living. Part of the process of alchemy is a state of constant renewal and action towards a better future. We reach milestones in life and how often and how frequent is totally up to us. πβ¨
Each new year we get the chance to reflect on how far weβve come and dream where we want to go next. In a world filled with anxiety and technological distractions, daring to dream becomes a radical act. βπ»
There may be several areas you wish to escape, to fix, to get rid and change. That is good, let that be the fuel to drive you to a new beginning. The truth is, you can create the life you desire, based on what makes you truly happy. Not everything will be perfect, no, but why not dream big and see where life takes you? πΊπΏ
Happy New year! I hope this next season in your life shows you the power you have to dream things into existence, alchemize anything weighing you down and expands your borders to places you never even knew existed before. πβ¨

Cheers to the beauty of friendships that know no bounds! π₯β¨
Have you ever wanted to hire a personal chef but canβt afford one? π²
What about a personal driver, someone to help with the household chores? ππ§Ή A gardener to pluck the weeds. πΏ
There are so many things to juggle in life these days. π If you are single, an overachiever working a 9 to 5, plus side projects and making time for personal development, you canβt possibly keep up with everything. Things slip and you end up ordering in week after week. π
Thatβs where life as a nomad comes in. The minor everyday things get injected with newness and support. π
I believe in two things.
1. We need community to thrive
2. If you are privileged you should give back. π€
One of the ways Iβve found to do that is by delegating some of the normal household chores to the local labor force. πͺ
Embracing the digital nomad lifestyle not only affords you the opportunity to save thousands of dollars monthly but also enhances your purchasing power, often multiplying it by a factor of 10. πΈ These substantial savings enable you to delegate tasks such as meal prep, cleaning, and transportation, allowing you to concentrate on what truly matters to you. π½οΈβ¨
A word on ethical travel, you will find in some places the going rate for this kind of help is $2.50/hour - yes you read that right! π² However, you have the opportunity to transform someoneβs life for however short or long you are there for so do it! That is the ethical thing to do. π
Traveling creates a web of connections and opportunities that didnβt exist before. The challenges you faced at home could be non-existent in other countries. And when you travel with the intent of lifting others up, giving back, and making a difference, not only are you happier, you leave with friends and a better world. ππ
Argentines all have really clean asses. Since I got here, my ass has been squeaky clean too.ππ§Ό
Bidetβs are standard here. What a luxury I thought, like a spa in your bathroom!πΏπββοΈπ¦
Water, the great purifier, cleans things so much better than scraping s**t with paper, even as soft as it is. Think of it this way, if a dog s**t on your driveway, would you clean it with a paper towel or a hose? πΎπΏ
Toilet paper companies are not what you think. They cut down millions of trees and spend billions of dollars on marketing, including prohibiting the bidet to take hold.
Think about it, if you could install a simple system that uses water which is already flowing through you home, how much less would you spend on toilet paper? How many trees would you be saving? How cleaner would your ass feel? π³πΈπ
Staying in your own culture can blind you to the fact that what you think in normal, is not normal at all. The truth is, your culture can become a cult, and breaking free requires stepping outside of it to open your eyes. ππ
World travel is essential if you are to be awake in this day and age. The level of corporate concealment and deceit is at a level that is impossible to escape unless you immerse yourself in other cultures, other places. ππ‘βοΈ
Cultural immersion is a journey of enlightenment, realization, and truth-seeking. And the more you immerse yourself in other places, the more you wake up and wake others up too. π€²π¦

πβ¨ See the World, Save $$$, and F the System!
I'm about to spill some tea on this digital nomad life that'll have you questioning everything you thought you knew. π΅πββοΈ
You see, being a digital nomad is not just about exploring exotic places, it's a game-changer for your wallet. π°
For years, society has taught you to follow a linear path: work hard, buy a house and save for retirement. My honest advice? Throw that script out the window and embrace the new wave of global citizenship.
And here's the revelation: it's more cost-effective than living the traditional 9-to-5 life back home. π‘β‘οΈβοΈ
Why, you ask?
π Savings: As a nomad, you open up a world of cost differences. Your dollars stretch further in some countries, making your savings account truly abundant.
πΌ Flexibility in Work: No longer chained to a single job market, you can choose gigs with better pay rates, creating a significant impact on your income.
π« Experiencing vs. Possessing: Instead of accumulating possessions, you invest in experiences. No more keeping up with the Joneses; now you're making memories.
π€ Exchange Rate Magic: Ever heard of the term "currency arbitrage"? It's your secret weapon as a digital nomad. A strong currency means your money packs a punch.
π‘ No Mortgage, No Problem: No need to commit to hefty mortgages or endless rent payments. Choose your temporary homes wisely, and you're golden. And sure, eventually you may want to buy a house, but why not on the beach in your favorite place in the world, instead of the endlessly boring suburbia - oh and for half the cost!
But, Grant, is it really cheaper?
Absolutely. Think about it: you're not only saving on living expenses, but you're also gaining invaluable experiences, diverse perspectives, and a life less ordinary. It's a rebellion against the system that told you you must conform to a predetermined mold.
If youβre ready to start making a plan and learn how easy it is to make the jump, join our facebook community where you learn real tips and tricks to make this dream a reality! Let's redefine what it means to truly live. πβ¨
π₯β¨ If I canβt have Champagne, Iβll have Champagne Experiences! β¨π₯
They say you can alchemize anything, turn lead into gold, make the worst thing that ever happened to you become the best gift of your life. And I believe it, because I certainly did just that. π‘π
I have been in recovery for over 7 years β a journey that completely humbled me, broke my spirit, and turned my life upside down. π
As I embarked on the path to sobriety, I made one thing abundantly clear to myself: "If I can't have champagne, I will have champagne experiences.β ππ₯
Not everything in life is by choice; that part of my journey certainly was not. However, you always get to decide what you make of it, and chose to turn the seemingly s**tty lead into a life of golden opportunities! β¨π
Traveling the world is the gift you can give to yourself for the s**t you've been through, letting go of what others sayβno one can take that away from you. πβ€οΈ
You can be a victim of the circumstances around you, or you can decide to alchemize them into the greatest gift you will ever give yourself! That choice is yours. ππ
The key is realizing that the power to turn your life around is within you. You hold the alchemical recipe to transform hardships into opportunities, despair into resilience, and lead into the purest gold of experience. ππ
If you have been wanting to transform adversity into a passport stamped with stories of reslience, self-discovery, and breathtaking moments around the globe - then come with me on an adventure, it's time for your new chapter, and that's worth a toast (even if we're drinking grape juice π )
π F*Β’ # you society, Iβm leaving! π
The real reason I travel may not be what you think. You see, I grew up with a lot of conditions. A religion that prescribed how I should think, act, talk and look. In school, I had to act straight and normal despite being very q***r and eccentric on the inside. π
π¨π»βπ€ So I said eff you to society. F you to the small and closed mindedness of my upbringing, the restrictive ideals handed down by my parents, the dogmas of my religion, and the deceptive dreams peddled by politicians every minute of every day.
A truth has always resonated deep down inside of me. The world is enormous and there is so much more out there than what I know, what I was told. πβ¨
I spent half my life allowing others to define me, but now I carve out my own journey. In fact, I actively go to places that people say I shouldnβt. N. Korea is on my bucket list and Iβm in Argentina now precisely because the country is economically in shambles, so I could see and experience it for myself, not through the lens of the mediaβs distortions and lies. This journey is mine, and I won't let others dictate its narrative. It's about uncovering truths for myself. πΏ
π I had to let go of a lot of voices in my head but the more I define my own path, the more truth resonates so deeply inside of me. This is how I get free, through every city, country and interaction I awaken to more possibility and truth.
So here's to breaking free, to the pursuit of authenticity, and to a world that's as diverse and beautiful as the people inhabiting it. πΉ

πββοΈπ¨ "You can't run away from your problems."
I heard that from at least 10 people right before I made the courageous decision to sell all my stuff and travel for good. πβοΈ At that time, life felt like a tumultuous seaβI was newly sober, navigating a stressful job, and grappling with a sense of disconnection from both myself and others. ππ
The well-intentioned advice poured in: find a better job, get a therapist, and resolve everything immediately, or else risk falling off the bandwagon again. It made sense, in a way. There is truth to the saying, but here's the twistβI asked myself, why can't I solve my problems while living my dream? π€π
It seemed as though people didn't want me to actually leave. Hidden in their concern was a fear of stepping outside their comfort zones. They couldn't fathom the magic of a pilgrimage across the globe because they had never experienced it themselves. πβ¨
I stand here today to tell you that your journey is uniquely yours. While there's truth in facing and resolving challenges, there's also truth in refusing to be confined by the expectations of others. The world is vast, filled with opportunities to grow, learn, and redefine ourselves. ππ
So, my message to you is this: don't blindly follow the advice of those who cannot see the dreams and expansive awareness within you. Your steps are your steps, and you have the power to define your own path. Embrace the unknown, trust your instincts, and don't be afraid to pursue your dreams, even if it means defying conventional wisdom. ππ
In the end, it's not about running away from problems; it's about running towards the life you envision for yourself. Your heart knows the wayβlisten to it, honor it, and let it guide you toward the extraordinary journey that awaits. ππ«

πβ¨ Embracing the Nomad Code means recognizing the profound impact we have on the communities we visit. π±π Travel isn't just about ticking destinations off a list; it's about weaving positivity into the places we explore.
But let's face it - there's a shadow side to travel and tourism. Acknowledging our privilege is crucial to ensure our journeys don't inadvertently harm the very communities we're drawn to. ππ
When we confine ourselves to tourist hotspots, patronize international chains, and turn a blind eye to the gentrification process (even as a short term visitor), we risk stifling the authentic heartbeat of a location.
So, here's our call to action: Let's be stewards of ethical exploration. π€οΈπΏ
From supporting local and diverse businesses to understanding our role in community dynamics, itβs our responsibility to be aware of these things so we can do less harm. Together, we can transform our wanderlust into a force for positive change. π€π
Becoming a whole person is not self-improvement. Self-improvement implies there are parts of you that need to be fixed, becasue they are broken.
Shadow work teaches us that every aspect of you is important. Each side to you has a story to tell, a wisdom to share.
So call back every missing piece you are repressing now. Let it come and have a voice within you. Love it into gentle awareness and let it guide your walk here on this earth through the wisdom of experience.
We are all connected in a beautiful web through the pain, struggles and dark natures inherent in each of us. Let us bring that into the light too.

You are different for a reason. You are creative geniuses, culture definers, community builders and way showers.
You daring to be yourself sets others free. It lifts the heavy masks we all are so tired of wearing. It makes us look twice and start dreaming of new possibilities, new ways of being.

A lot of people believe that reading some books, listening to podcasts and manifesting all your desires is the path towards enlightenment.
That is like stoking a fire with a tiny match 5 feet away.
The mind is one tiny, and very messy might I add, aspect towards a deeper understanding of life and your purpose on the planet.
The truth is you need all of you to discover all of you. Mind, heart, body, soul and all the pain, suffering and heartbreak you experience.
So uncover every gem you have hidden inside, even if it is under the dark and rarely looked at parts of yourself.

I wanted to introduce myself again since I have gained some new followers recently.
My name is Grant James. I often go between labels because ultimately I think words aren't enough to describe the limitless nature of who we really are. I strive daily to empty myself and become a clear channel to allow spirit to flow through me.
As a Spiritual Healer and Shadow Work Coach, I accept the intersectionality of who I am to honor the journey I have been on and the things I have overcome. This includes my Q***rness: I am a non-binary q***r healer, an outcast from a Mormon upbringing, a pyschic and Indigo child. I am also a highly sensitive person, an INFJ, Astrologer & Tarot reader, Shamanic practitioner and avid learner.
I have found ways to cope with my ADHD, Anxiety and trauma-informed experience and I am infinitely proud of my 5 years in recovery from drugs and alcohol. I have come face to face with death several times and hit countless rock bottoms but am grateful every day for taking ownership of my life and the transformation I have created for myself.
Now, I live to serve other q***r and misfit folx who feel stuck, stagnant or who feel their dreams are still out of reach. All I can say is I see you and I hear you. Iβve been exactly where you are and it is not an easy journey. But I want to help uplift you and get you excited for your future.

Tursting your inner voice takes courage.
Sometimes you are led into situations that hurt, that are uncomfortable, that shatter all of your illusions.
And still, you have to trust your heart.
With every disillusionment, comes a breakthrough. A great gift. A diamond in your pocket.
The shadow of the mind will always try to keep you safe. However, in itΒ΄s doing, it will steer you so far off the path of your heart, you will feel empty and meaningless.
The path of the inner voice can be reckless and daring, in fact, it most often is.
Yet how else would you grow into the person you were meant to be without the reckless callings of your heart?

An old wise tale says that purple in nature is the calling card of the goddess herself. If you donΒ΄t stop to appreciate it, she will get offended.
I love the sentiment. And since I heard that, I have taken it to heart.
The simple act of stopping is so revolutionary, so profound, so earth shaking in our world of overstimulation that it is seen as "getting distracted."
Distracted from what? Everything that is actually beautiful in life?
I personally think we owe it to ourselves to get distracted more often by nature. She really does know how to bring out the showstoppers.
